I guess if I'd have known I'd be in such a dance-heavy semi I'd have entered something that closer resembles a Danaelandan entry, but after the flop of Croatia Squad I thought now would be the best time to not go house.

Time To Say Goodbye (To Qualifications)

 

 

Well it had to happen sometime, we get our worst position since 'Man x Woman' over 2 years ago, and our first DNQ after a seven-contest streak. It also becomes our fourth worst performing entry of all time, only making 23rd in the semi-final.

 

It's official, Danaelanda has lost its touch and its relevance.

 

The outrage over the result has sparked a Danaelandan Civil War as discussions take place as to what went so wrong and who is to blame for our flop.

BJSC 86: Results Commentary

 

Civil War results in North-South split

 

Ratings for the BJSC final results were at a record low for 2015-16, with many blaming it on our own entry being disqualified. Since the DQ civil war has erupted in Danaelanda, although racial tension between North and South Danaelanda have been growing ever since the controversial decision MP's made to invade Mezidinia. The North have always been pro-Empire and the South anti-Empire.

 

A wall is currently being built by Tronald Dump, who will lead the North, to divide the country to prevent a government revolt. President Tim Bergling has since called for the division of the Danaelandan parliament, saying that it would be in the best interests of South Danaelanda to lead itself with its own parliament. A close watch will be kept on North Danaelanda to see what they do next.

 

As for how this will effect us in the BJSC, for now, it seems that the North will be banned from contributing to BJSC potential discussions and we will be entering as South Danaelanda.

 

Results commentary

 

Pupok won the contest for the first time with trance anthem 'Give Love A Try', and South Danaelanda will be looking forward to sending their representative to their land next contest.

 

Altyr Muunilinst who were also tipped to win finish 2nd with 'Hey'. Yehesi complete the top 3 giving them their fourth top 3 finish this year.

 

Medhelnia surprise with another top 5 finish, their second in a row. 'Let Me Know' finishes 4th, and Hendinia finish 5th.

 

Triangledonia get their second top 10 hit, although once again it is on a technicality as Republic of Adonia were given a deduction for late voting.

 

The host nation finish last, and five other countries finish behind Ethanola, who finish in 35th with their atypical BJSC entry, which triggered complaints from across the world for being over ten minutes long, though none from Danaelandan viewers.

Yeah Mezidinia got in early with that one :lol: I feel like it'd have done far better if it was entered more recently.

I'm not sure my personal opinions are in your best interests if you're trying to get a hit again (though as ever I encourage sending songs you like the most rather than hit chasing x) - of course my favourite would be the 9 minute instrumental because I always tend to be a big fan of such songs, and this is no exception :music: but I don't think this one is *quite* as good as 'Mutter' and I'm not sure lightning will strike twice and allow it to qualify. 'Aber' is also pretty good (would likely get points from me) and probably has a slightly better chance of qualifying out of the two. The other two are much safer choices but they both strike me as songs in danger of just blending in.

These all feel like borderline Q's, I don't have much an opinion on most bu I'd probably point 'Momentum' so if you are in doubt I'd recommend that! But follow your heart ofc x

I think if you were to send "Momentum" you'd have to make some sort of "radio edit" for it, I think people got a little pissy about a song that was longer than most Teens React episodes (as amazing as the instrumental is).

yeah I think I may give up hit chasing. 'Monody' was clearly a fluke. Though I'd still like to enter songs at least a good few people enjoy hence my potentials showcase.

Ah I'm pretty sure I know which one you'll enter. I'm a big fan of #TOB so I'm hoping it's that one and I have a feeling it will be too.

I will neither confirm or deny anything. All I'll say is that Olivera and Tobtok are in my personal chart top 50, and my other two potentials are not.

It just got announced that we got ourselves another spin-off success, and a new peak too as Cappa got us to 7th with her cover of 'No Scrubs' - also outpeaking both times she got sent to the main contest. Thanks to everyone who voted for us especially Hendinia and Botanikka for the 18s. The contest would be won by Unovia who sent Delta Goodrem.
