Ok Watch Me Do hasn't really got a church vibe  It's another sort of early 00s urban jam, I'd say it could easily be a Destiny's Child track (moreso than No which I'd say Christina Milian for ).

She's guilty of saying "textis" instead of "texts" and also rhyming words such as breasts and exs with that..... But it's another bop *.*

'Watch Me Do' isn't the 2nd single though. So no wonder it doesn't fit the description the 2nd single does.

It's being considered and fan sites said before it premiered it had a church vibe, when we heard a short clip for 7 seconds on snapchat, but it doesn't have a church vibe, that's what I meant. Maybe they got mixed up but that's what I read and was just reporting it!

the kind of stuff she is releasing now is far more my kind of thing than her doo-wop nonsense but it all just feels so desperate

'watch me do' is alright, i actually really love the instrumental but i can't really get over the fact it is sung by her as it just seems so unnatural and i cannot fathom properly enjoying listening to meghan singing about being on a "low hater diet". identity crisis at it's height here.

I don't think it sounds unnatural at all actually! I wasn't massive on Watch Me Do when I listened but NO is possibly the best thing she's put out and it doesn't feel forced at all, it's just a different direction.
I like the sound shes going for but I can't see her topping the sound she went for on Title. I know it's quite early for me to say that but if No changed the direction of the whole album then it's clear we aren't getting another doo-wop sounding album :(
I loved Title a lot but I'm glad we've got a new direction this time, an artist not changing up their sound doesn't tend to work all that well commercially and people will get tired eventually. This is a fresh new sound for her and it's paying off I think!
How is No actually good?! I was not expecting that from her at all. I've been slain.

Heard the re-release is already in the works.

'Unwelcome'

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

this has to be one of the WORST tracklistings and set of individual titles i can remember in pop; reading it aloud, one track to the next, the sequencing is f***ing dreadful. the song titles make me think of a sheltered 12 year old girl from suburbia's idea of songwriting. it's jessie j levels of dreadful (obv without the ramshackle persona).

also what an ill-fitting selection of guest features, it comes off as if she's trying desperately hard to do a 180 on her image by including rent-a-rappers totally uncomplimentary of the identity she's built up as an artist prior, but works as an opportunity to jarringly shine the spotlight on other dreadful sony-signed artists

i've wondered why people take to her so much and then i realised she's the kind of popstar a donald trump supporter likes and roots for; inoffensive, no kind of purpose or creative statement or feeling, pleasant, conservative and safe to the point of childish and regressive
