September 28, 200618 yr 2. Easy (1977 US#4/UK#9 by Commodores, covered by Faith No More) 4. Total Eclipse Of The Heart (1983 US#1/UK#1 by Bonnie Tyler, covered by Nikki French) [ 6. You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' (1965 US#1/UK#1 by Righteous Bros, covered by loads) The FNM cover of "Easy" was great, this will be utter poo Well, if anyone can make "Total Eclipse..." sound even MORE like nails down a fukkin' blacboard, then it is Westlife That's all the world needs, someone else murdering a Righteous Brothers song.... <_< I agree with Kelly, someone PLEASE kill them, and while we'er at it slowly torture, maim, mutilate and behead that evil little prick Louis Walsh for inflicting this sh!te upon us..... <_< <_<
September 28, 200618 yr I think Westlife have finally realised what they should do with this. The fact is they could have sung the original of ANYTHING (Stairway To Heaven? Angels?) and would still have got absolutely NO credit or credibilty for it. So what's the point in them singing original songs and/or writing their own when they can cover 13 and still sell over a million copies of it. They have a huge fanbase which will buy it and I see no reason why they would do anything different to alienate their fanbase just to try and gain some credibility. It doesn't matter who their fanbase are (Teenage girls? OAPs? Menapausal women? Charis?), they're still people and are still entitled to have their taste in music, no matter how bad. I'm fairly sure there are many, many bands and artists that would give a hell of a lot to sell as much as Westlife do. Their UK fanbase isn't matched by many and tbh they've done EXTREMELY well to last this long and still be so successful!
September 28, 200618 yr It's sick, those talentless morons deserved none of the success they've got. They're a prime example of gross PR manipulation. :(
September 28, 200618 yr they can, but they don't let them. And maybe they don't find time. they tour for 4 months every year and they do singles/ video clips/ promotions album.
September 28, 200618 yr Why cant they just write their own songs :puke2: Because they cant, or at any rate they're not ALLOWED to; they're a bunch of talentless morons who allowed themselves to be manipulated by a very clever PR Guru....
September 28, 200618 yr he's LYING He's doing a cover of someone else's post, it must be catching if you're a Westlife fan. There tour tickets go on sale tomorrow for March 2007, they seem to be continually touring and releasing albums, but the public are still buying, so I'm sure they couldn't care less about critisism from non fans.
September 29, 200618 yr This album is the $h!t :cheer: Why are they doing this? as this is what all old groups/pop acts do when they get old.
September 29, 200618 yr That's all the world needs, someone else murdering a Righteous Brothers song.... <_< has bryan ferry murdered it yet   smoke gets in your eyes done as a 1940 jazz standard was fukking hilarious. those 1970s vocal pronounciations just make me smile so much
September 29, 200618 yr Westlife will sell around 120.000 - 150.000 with their next album. what about the others?
September 29, 200618 yr Westlife will sell around 120.000 - 150.000 with their next album. what about the others? Oasis's last album sold over 200k on the first week, this is a Greatest hits and they ALWAYS sell hugly so i predict about 250-300k for Stopt he clocks. Westlife have no chance :D However the lead single will most likely be #1 but will be knocked off the a vastly superior Take that a week later :yahoo:
September 29, 200618 yr yes please would love to see them kept off #1  I cant stand oasis but they deserve it more then pestlife. Watch Wetlife change the release date soon ^_^ at the alternative names. I will be getting this solely because of Delta. I don't download music and there is no guarantee that the song featuring Delta will get a release here. It would be great for Delta's career here in the UK if it was.
