At last, unsurprisingly if you've been following the rates, is the second collab with Eric Turner, Angels and Stars. I didn't even know this existed until seeing it on Wikipedia when doing the rate :blush: I think the verses and choruses are decent from all featuring artists so I don't really know where the hate comes from :unsure: it's still far from the standards of Written In The Stars though.

At penultimate bottom we have Do Till I. It didn't necessarily get low scores but Lee's 0 didn't really help it. Also only 4 people rated it, the highest being a 6 from me and Dobbo. It's an ok album track but the repetitive chorus is a little annoying after only a short period of time so good to see it low here.

The Buzzjack least favourite track from his debut album Disc-Overy appears to be Intro, which is, funnily enough, the intro to the album. It also quotes the album name in the lyrics. Again it's just an average sounding track which would also be my least favourite from the album, but that's ok seeing it is only the intro :D

Just snabbing a place in the top 40 is the second lowest finishing track with Tinie not being the lead artist. Featuring a short verse in Cheryl's #1 hit Crazy Stupid Love is this slightly annoying song. I usually like Cheryl's music but this one isn't that great, and the "la-la" parts are especially annoying :/ Tinie's verse doesn't really add much else to it so that's not really helped me give this a higher rate than 0.5. It's also the first song here to be rated an 11 and an 8.5 or above. It is also the first song to be given more than one -1 and the first to have an average of over 5, along with being rated by all 19 participants.

A song with a dragging chorus from an album track on Demonstration is up next. It's really the second verse that makes the song good and seeing I only gave it a 5 I might have underrestimated it a little. But the chorus weighed down the quality of the song quite a bit for me, so it's not a big loss to see it finish low :D

This time, the repetitiveness in the chorus is done well to effect in my opinion, and the vocals from Sway fit into it well.

Tinie appears in Get Over, along with 6 other well known rappers in Game Over, in his 3rd verse. It's not really the kind of rap that I'm into so I only thought this worthy of a 5. Tinie's rapping which we're all here for is ok but doesn't save its score in the final. It somehow reached #22 in the UK chart and it also recieved different rates across the board.

Another #1 not lead by Tinie reached the summit in 2014 along with strangers to the chart DVBBS and Borgeous. I was not keen on Tinie's vocals at first, they were even giving me Trampoline teas which I was quite dissapointed with. I then ended up putting up with the vocals, even getting into them a little. The part from when he says "Get on my level" and onwards is where the song gets better and the producing work is really good :music: it's definitely the standout part of this track. Shame the raps could be better but the production was enough for me to boost my rate for it to 9.5 :D I think it's done quite well here considering!

Up next is probably his worst song, at least for me, and the fact that it managed to somehow peak at #3 just makes it even more awkward. This time the repeating "shake, shake, shake" parts is what emphasises how bad it is for me and it's not the kind of thing I would usually expect from him. At the time of release I would probably have given it a 3 but I gave it a 4 in this rate as it isn't as bad as it was, but it's still by far his worst hit so far. Aside from the repeating choruses, his other rapping isn't much better either, although the featuring verse from 2 Chainz is probably the best part of this track lol.

Good to see Crazy Stupid Love so low & Tsunami as well really - given that's the only song he's been involved with in which he has had a negative effect IMO.

 

I preferred the Demonstration era actually but both are amazing and I highly doubt his third and final album will be anywhere near as good.
