:cheer: :cheer: Been mulling over this idea for a long time ~ finally doing it ^_^

I'm going to do a countdown of all 114 2015 top ten songs complete w/ opinions and everything :D Hopefully should be starting soon

Please forgive me if this countdown goes astray midweek sometimes - I tend to be less active on here on weekdays so most of the countdown spammage will be done on weekends :heehee:

Enjoy :D

(hopefully after this I'll do 2014, and so forth :D)

PS- my prefered types of music are house and grime so bear that in mind when criticising me on my taste

Ariana Grande - Focus

Chart peak- 10

So this is the worst top 10 song of 2015  A predictably boring vocal performance from Ariana is accompanied by one of the most horrible chorus' ever. The strange male vomiting noises don't do this already poor song any favours. She has shown she has a great voice in songs such as One Last Time - but this, however, is generic, predictable and the polar opposite of memorable.

Will be following this one, interesting to hear your thoughts on many of these songs!

Thanks Dobbo :D I assume our opinions are similar judging by the similarity in our personal charts ^_^

Focus is crap, I liked it for about one week but it is such a mess :(

So forgettable :/

I wouldn't choose Focus as the worst top 10 hit of 2015 (I'll mention my choice when it arrives) but it isn't very good and the make vocal is shocking.

Don't let Cody see this though.

We'll have to agree to disagree on your bottom pick mind  it's nothing special but I actually find it really catchy.

noooo Focus is quite catchy, but not as good as her bigger hits

:heehee: Judging by the differences in our personal charts I think your least favourite may be quite high on my list :D

I can see why you would. It just irritates me.

Focus is really awful to be fair. It sounds like she's bored and that "chorus" is so lazy

She's a great artist but it's so generic -_-

Louisa Johnson - Forever Young

Chart peak- 9

I like her as a singer, but this is just a completely forgettable song, especially as a winners single - the big first impression. Don't get me wrong, she was a worthy winner, but this is so boring and doesn't do anything to me. It's a shame really, as this might put a dampener on her chances of having great success in the future.

One Direction - History

Chart peak- 6

Don't let that 1D fan Rafael see this :heehee: A bland, instantly forgettable song from 1D. They seemed to have tried to change their catchy pop music niche for this, and it doesn't really work. A really bland, simple chorus combined with the awful Irish droning from Niall makes this one of the worst top tens of 2015.

Sam Smith - Like I Can

Chart peak- 9

Can we all agree on this one? Sam's constant wailing about nonsense is genuinely awful to listen to, and the fact that I can't understand much beyond the word 'lawyer' doesn't do it any favours. Not a bad song, but the fact Sam Smith is singing it drops it down about 50 places for me

Sam Smith - Writings On The Wall

Chart peak- 1

I'm ashamed to say I actually found this quite catchy at first, but listening back to it, its just generic Sam. Which isn't in any circumstances a good thing. The lyrics are painfully bland and lack any real creativity, and considering this a Bond theme, it doesn't strike you as being memorable at all. Ming you, there is still one more Sam Smith song left on this list, and it's higher than you'd think :heehee:

Taylor Swift - Blank Space

Chart peak- 4

Taylor has made some catchy tunes in the past, but this is not one of them. Blank Space is too generic commercial pop for me. I think I would have quite liked it for a while if it hadn't have been killed by the radio over a long period of time. But even with that stated, I feel overall it just doesn't do anything for me.
