Today's update (+ 0.216) looks bad but that's mostly because this day last week was her biggest normal day of the entire week. She still got more airplay in today's update than she has for a few days now, so it's a meh update but it's not actually bad.

What number would she need to get up to for it to be considered good airplay? And how good is that 15.5m from Day 1?
Hows this doing in the UK?

#138 on Spotify, streamed 467,310 times since its release (4,673 sales) and currently #81 on iTunes. Basically the video can't come soon enough in the UK. :D

"Good" airplay is hard to define, but you can definitely set goals for her based on the airplay chart. To be top 40 on radio you need about 4.3m daily audience, which is not too far above where Brit is at right now. To get top 20 she'll need about 8m AI daily and to get top 10 she'll need... well, pretty close to the 15.5m AI she got on day 1. That sounds like a huge uphill task but radio gains can be pretty explosive and Britney can easily start making huge inroads, especially once the video is out.

Still, my list is more about tracking the trend in her airplay and less about measuring her performance, and you're better off looking at her overall numbers for that. You can make a judgment about how high her airplay is from mine but it's quicker to do that by looking at her overall number. My list is more a quick and easy way to see whether her airplay is increasing or decreasing during the initial weeks.

King Of USA chart information, TBH.

Thank you Umi.

I really hope she can get top 20 soon. I feel like once she's top 20 we might see more of a noticeable rise in streaming and sales.

Also. GET THE VIDEO OUT. [for the 17th time]

FYI, there's nothing to worry about today's pop update if it's considered last week's update, which was this:

+516 Spins

+516 Bullet

+3.331 Audience

As you could see, the spins are still increasing and despite the audience has decreased, the main reason of this is because it had its best update post radio deal last Thursday. Also, it should be considered that it's the second week of the track, so it's stabilizing after the updates it got in last week, which was the first week. I expect tomorrow's update to be in the same vein of today's because of last Friday's update, but Saturday's update should be much better because of the rolling effect. That said, next week is crucial, but it's looking good so far.

I heard rumours the video was scrapped for being too racy? Better be fake

The video was definitely scrapped, but a new one was filmed a few weeks ago. So this new one shouldn't take too long hopefully.

Nothing will ever be worse than 'BJ'.

Don't bring those Exhale meltdowns in here.

I have to say the whole fiasco with the video has caused me to lose a lot of faith in this song doing well and that's depressing considering what it means for her career. We really shouldn't be at this point in the song's life still questioning when a video is going to be released and the reshoot means that no matter when it comes, it probably won't be attention-grabbing enough to make any sort of difference to the song. Combine that with the Spotify & airplay stalling, plus the song randomly collapsing on iTunes (what is going on there?) and it just seems like the song's chances of success are evaporating rapidly.

The song's chart life started out so well, it's really depressing to see it killed off by poor management decisions.

The iTunes collapse was to do with the banner being taken down I think.

I agree Umi. I do think unless the video comes out within the next few days; the song is destined to be another underperformance. The two biggest stations Z100 and Kiis have already stopped giving the song many spins in the day and reduced it to mainly night spins.

Really grim today. The lack of real progress on radio wasn't concerning until now but today is the first update she's had that I'd consider outright bad and there's just no incentive for big radio stations to pick up the song with how poorly she's performing on every other platform. I can imagine her never going over 4 million daily audience now, which is just woeful.

Hopefully the initial interest in the song got her name out there enough for her to have some chance of success if her next single is also great and not terribly managed, but given Britney's chart fortunes in recent years it's just insane to let a hit slip out of your fingers like this.

She is starting radio interviews on Monday. We did our jobs as a fanbase. I'm not stressing over it, TBH.

If she or any of her team cared we would be seeing that. I still think we should hold out on the all is doomed stuff, though.
