The position on iTunes is because of Carpool Karaoke and the VMA's and the 69 cent discount.

Yes, this is how promotion works.

I know you guys are trying to have hope.I'm a big Gwen Stefani fan. When Gwen's single Make me like you started getting bi polar updates,a few days negative then a couple days positive,I didn't wanna believe that it was over on radio. But it was done. The Same with Britney. This song had negative updates for over a week then had one positive update yesterday but today is negative again. The song has been added by most hit music stations but probably only 25 percent of the stations are spinning it.Yes it has a remote chance to turn things around but it's highly unlikely. There are songs that came back from negative updates for example Adele Send my love got negative updates in June, now it's #3 on USA airplay.Pink's Just like fire was getting negative updates for a week when it was in the low 20s then it turned around and became a top 10 hit.Anything is possible but based on the chart history of Work Bitch and Pretty girls it seems like this is falling into the same pattern but it is a bigger hit than her last 2.

But today is a mixed update at worst and unlike Gwen's song, people are actually buying and streaming it. There was nothing suggesting that radio should have given Gwen more airplay, but radio have objective measures such as large sales and good streaming indicating that 'Make Me' is a popular song. No matter what is responsible for the song being #2 on iTunes, it is currently there and has been there for several days now (it's been top 5 on iTunes for almost a week!). These are measures that radio typically respond to.
She filmed Today already and it's Make Me and DYWCO. The former should provide a last minute boost and help the song stay at #2 for longer on iTunes and repeak on billboard, the latter should translate well on TV and maybe give the album a bloost.
Make Me re-enters at #75 in the UK officially. Finally grabbing another week!

Yay, I'm glad it has managed a 2nd week within the Top 75!

(Lmao this sounds like I'm really clutching at straws... I really wish it'd become a bigger hit than this~)

Lol. Top 3 on iTunes the entire week, big boost on streaming but killed by radio AirPlay. Very unfair really.

Another week top 40.

A pretty decent chart run tbh.

I'm quite happy with that, TBH. A moderate hit song for her.

UK chart run. 168 in yesterday's midweeks, so could possibly hold one one more week. Great shame it didn't really get any radio airplay in the UK, there was clearly some interest for the song bubbling under.

I find it pretty frustrating how uk radio doesn't support her. I guess I should just get over it - it's been like that for a while. She always does interviews for radio 1 and they don't respect that with even a couple of plays of the song everyday day. The lack of radio support and promotion means a lot of people dot even know there's a new amazing album out. Let's hope some up coming promo in London helps.
