But you can go back in if you have a jump in sales too.

I know but a lot of OAOS records dip in the second week and never recover. They could do with featuring on this chart.

because it's climbed in the mids from where they were in last week's official chart and the song didn't peak in the top 10.

it's really silly to include it though. clearly the OCC needed more test runs of this chart because it's not half perfect

Perhaps the OCC need to add an extra exclusion - records which have fallen from the top 40 are not eligible for the Trending Chart. The inclusion of both Fetty Wap and Little Mix, both of whom had lengthy top 40 chart runs with their respective entries but who have since fallen from the top 40, on the grounds that their singles have gained in sales, totally undermines the purpose of this chart.

I don't really see the point of this, other that it gives us some positions outside the Top 100.

It could have a point if this trending chart was aired by, say, radio 1.

Good chance MTV will show it I reckon

What do all the numbers to the right hand side of the artist mean?

According to The Official Charts:

LAST WEEK

CURRENT WEEK

DIFFERENCE

PREVIOUS PEAK (inside the Top 40 apparently)

What about ones that went T40 for a week as instant grats or cherry picks, but only become official singles later?

Maybe only include songs that are within 10 or 20 spots from their peak position or ones that are reaching new peaks? I think 52 weeks being the limit is actually way too long too, should maybe be more like 26 weeks or even less.
