the follow-ups to X&Y has now been revealed as Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, which will be released on the 3DS. With smartphone release Pokemon Go also set for sometime this year, 2016 could well be the year of pokemon.

I would rage forever if they were, but I don't think they will be. There are new Pokemon for these games.

It mentions that it "all comes together". I wonder what they mean by that and how it will be implemented? All regions available, all gyms/leaders, all Pokemon from available from the start? :unsure:

I do hope it has new / different features and isn't just a rehash of every other pokemon game [lol.]

 

the ability to catch all 700+ pokés and visit all the regions would be a great idea indeed.

There have been rumours before of a game with all the regions, I'm not sure if that would be too ambitious but I guess like in the Johto games where parts of Kanto were blocked off, they wouldn't have to have the whole region, like maybe some of the mountains are closed off, Sky Pillar could have collapsed etc. :lol:

I will definitely be getting these! They're bigging up the whole '20 years of Pokemon' thing so a game with all the regions in strikes me as something that would be really fitting and cool.

I'm slightly behind since I only finished Black last year and have X totally unplayed, so maybe for once I should just wait until the slightly superior 3rd game inevitably appears. High hopes for these though.

I haven't played a Pokémon game since I had to buy a 3DS to play the new games :(. So I think the last one I played was Pokémon White.

Been spending ages trying to see if anyone had any codes online for this, but have just found out that the Mew glitch is still in the Virtual Console versions of R/B/Y so can get Mew on that and transfer it via Pokemon Bank to Sun/Moon.

 

Since I'll never use it I won't feel as bad about having a glitched pokemon in my Pokedex. :lol:

Just downloaded Celebi for X. Was incredibly easy, just go onto the mystery gift and select 'via internet' and you get it :D

 

Also downloaded Yellow on the 3DS (after much debate about which to go for :arrr:) - should keep me busy until these are released, and i've just learnt you can trade with others who have these versions (so post in here if you have one!) AND you'll eventually be able to trade with Sun/Moon too!!

I have also downloaded Yellow! (so unforch cannae help you get pokes you can't get regularly but will assist if you need a Gengar/Machamp/Alakazam - or all three *.*)

 

Also been reading some stuff about this and it seems pretty much confirmed to be based on Hawaii (like how X/Y was based on France) so hopefully there'll be plenty of tropicalness~

YES OLIVER! I'm pretty sure we can get them all if one of us has red too (as I have Mew now....) but I'm not sure. There's probably still one or two pesky ones that you can't even get :lol: but worth checking!

No you should be able to get them all without Yellow, so having Yellow will just backup everyone being able to get everything rather than having to rely on someone catching the exact missing Pokemon :lol:.

 

I'll get it in the coming days let you's know what's happening.

So ready for the new generation of Pokémon. I'm loving the celebrations for 20 years as well, will be heading to GAME every month to get my legendary Pokémon - I've never had Jirachi/Manaphy/Shaymin/Arceus so looking forward to them most.

 

I'm torn between getting Blue or Yellow. I liked that Pikachu follows you around in Yellow, but Blue was the first game I ever played - I remember thinking Blastoise looked pretty cool on the cover (and then picked Bulbasaur as my starter. ha.) I don't really get time to play anymore but I think the 3DS compatability and the ability to connect with Sun/Moon is quite awesome.
