Ooh the post game sounds better this time! That was one really shit thing about XY, there was practically nothing post game apart from the Mewtwo, the frankly quite boring Looker stuff and Kiloude City, so I found myself missing the likes of the Battle Frontier and the second part of Unova, especially when you compared XY's lack of anything to the amazing Delta Episode in ORAS. The branched evolutions for Rockruff and Salandit sound cool too! Also a VERY good amount of new Pokemon, and I'm counting Alolan formes in that really as they are breathing new air to old Pokemon. That's nearly as much as Unova and the same amount as the original 151, and I know it's just a number and maybe a coincidence but it may be a nice little Easter egg touch that references the original games for the 20th anniversary,

Ugh at Megas being a thing too, I mean I guess it was too much for them to just completely abolish them for this game though

I don't know how to feel about this

There should also be news surrounding gameplay demos later on today

There was already the gameplay demo, it was disappointing af. I watched an hour and a half live stream and it was just that Battle Royale thing, all it gave away was that Mimikyu doesn't have its disguise thing off when you attack it, it just flops down  Then they had someone dressed as a Pikachu and having coloured thrown at it?! And then they showed that trailer but in German bc it was a German thing. They could at least have had new Pokemon in the Battle Royale

Turtanator (that name tho...) just seems like a kind of meh single stage Pokemon that doesn't really have enough viability to use be competitively and will be outclassed even in game, like Druddigon or Heatmor.

I felt that there was more of a demo during E3. This was more of a "let's show non-Pokemon fans why they should get into this foray", which for the rest of us is a bit redundant.

Mimikyu's ability has already been established during its feature trailer.

Overall... *shrugs* I don't know but we might be getting something huge in September like the Alolan forms this month.

Oh there were new Pokemon revealed at the World Championships today, well one, a boxing crab thing. The others are the ghost/ground sandcastles and Bewear's pre-evo Stufful, which both leaked in CoroCoro ofc.

All of them in the recent tweets here

I spy Shellder and Gengar

Palossand seems good but I think we'll have to wait until we know its stats to know if it will get outclassed by Golurk (not that there's much really)

The boxing crab is so hideous and tacky! Least favourite design of the generation by far alongside the bear. Fire dragon turtle is not really for me but it's pretty cool regardless.

Palossand seems more special than Golurk I can imagine, using like Sand Tomb, Earth Power and Shadow Ball rather than the punching moves or Earthquake Golurk might use. I agree about Crabrawler though, just crap all around. I just don't get why they felt the intense need to mix a crab and a boxer, it's just a really crap lazy design and even the name is shit.

Oh also there was a trailer with said Pokemon:

Might get this Pokemon rate started in the next few days, I want something to do before I go back to uni :kink: I don't think it really needs two people involved until results Cody if you want to help then?:

Defo! (I say we also add our personal favorite Pokemon per type)

What about the sandcastles!!!

I wanna poke my eyes out when I see those.

At least they're creative, the boxing crab just looks like a painted over Crawdaunt

I love the sandcastles, I like inanimate object Pokemon. It shows new ideas and new directions for Pokemon, and I'd rather have a bunch of keys, a sandcastle or a stuffed teddy bear than some of the earlier gen awful designs like say Dugtrio being literally just 3 Diglett joined together looking a bit hostile and Voltorb/Electrode being just a Pokeball with a face  With inanimate objects, the possibilities are endless and I love being shocked, surprised and enamoured by how they manage to make weird objects and things into really good Pokemon  I just love the creativity that goes into making little backstories and lore for such Pokemon, for example how Klefki is based on a pagan custom of blaming missing things on pixies, so that's why it's fairy. It's little things like that I love.

Latest Alolan Form rumours:

- Grass/Fairy Paras and Parasect, infected by Morelull.

- Rock/Fire Golem

- Fire Koffing and Weezing, they are uncontaminated

- Ground Grimer and Muk, also uncontaminated

- Solrock and Lunatone have new forms with the same ability as Minior (which if you haven't seen, is basically a bit like Mimmikyu's in that when it's attacked its "disguise", in this case it's rocky shell, comes off and you see a gem looking sort of thing inside of it, perhaps it's like a normal Lunatone/Solrock but with a fragile shell that breaks if you attack it and it'll be like fire inside of Solrock and Ice inside of Lunatone maybe)

These are seem very plausible, especially with Morelull being mentioned for Paras/Parasect, it just seems like a good backstory. BUT I feel like they are too good to be true, because of the Koffing and Grimer lines. Weezing being fire has always being touted as a Mega option and Grimer/Muk had Delta forms in a fan game that were ground type and there has been a lot of buzz around those. So it feels like it's just somebody running away with something they desperately want to be true, but we'll see

Z Moves seem a tad OP, especially on a Snorlax for example  I'm not sure it's a concept I love, like Mega Evolution it just seems to make things way too easy but maybe the games are way harder and need these! At least all Pokemon can use them so you can give weaker ones a boost.

I'm guessing "purchasing early" means pre-order, I might pre-order one of them when I get my student loan and then buy the other when it comes out.

"Type: Null" what a weird name  I thought for a second it was a video error they'd messed up  Nothing too amazing from this video really but a few nice story tidbits, and a couple of new Pokemon. I'm guessing Type: Null is a Porygon-esque artificial Pokemon and I'm intrigued about this ultra beast thing, maybe it's just a name for legendary trio, actually the jelly fish looking thing looks kinda artificial too.

Rockruff has been revealed to have day and night evolutions, and the credible Chinese source has said that Rockruff and the starters have something in common, so it's theorised that the starters do have two possible evolutions - one for day and one for night. It would make sense, somewhat, as Rockruff seems to have been pegged as key to the promotion of Sun and Moon perhaps because of the day and night evoltuions, so they're probably going to be utilising that a lot more in the new games. Tbh though the Rockruff evolution kind of look like form changes rather than a totally split evolution such as Gloom into Vileplume/Bellossom, so the changes may just be aesthetic for the starters because I've heard that banded about. I expect Rockruff will gain a typing in addition to Rock, probably Dark for night and maybe Fairy for day.
I think maybe it's just one evolution but day and night forms, so a different typing and look for if you evolve it during the day and likewise if you evolve it during the night
