12 places is quite a jump and another top 20 isn't too shabby, hopefully the prince/beyonce tracks will die down over the following weeks and it'll make it's top 10 debut. With being on radio playlists, streaming improving and top 10 exposure! all the girls need to do now is do some last minute promo ...this would improve any chances of getting top 10. Does anyone have the updated sales now for Hair? it must be around 95k?

Incredible that 21 of those GA hits were top 10's! Legends.

Little Mix will probably beat them in the top 20's though. They'll go to #2 in the next era alone.

Atomic Kitten & Destiny's Child are tied for the #3, since both of them have 14 top 20 hits.

That Spotify banner is excellent! *.*

Hair is on a lot of the main playlists now. As well as the sponsored playlists from other companies as with that amazing banner, it's also on ALL these very commonly advertised playlists made by Spotify themselves; 'Pop Radar,' 'Feel Good Friday', 'Best.Week.Ever', Radio 1 Playlist, 'All New, All Now' and of course 'Pop List' and 'Hot Hits'. As well as that it's now in the top 50 playlist which always helps hugely. Secret Love Song was never supported on Spotify like this and neither was LMLY.

 

I'll expect song continued climbing this week even hopefully with the weekend effect.

So with all this, I think it's safe to say it will peak higher than SLS (#11) on spotify. It HAS to!!!

Such a shame for SLS really, at least it will sell over 500,000 anyway, but it sounds huge, it shouldn't have peaked at #11.

Furthermore it's on the 'great British breakfast', which is advertised this morning.

 

I do wonder if they've looked at how streaming has been their downfall in the past, and the label is trying to tackle this?

 

Massive shame it's out of the top 10 on iTunes though!

 

 

#29 on Spotify now!

Just for comparisons sake, 15 days into its Spotify chart run and it's at #29. Love Me Like You, 14 days into its Spotify chart run was at #54. This is doing SO well considering they often struggle with streaming, it's nearly matched the #25 that got ALREADY.

Ohh, that made me check SLS's progress and that entered Spotify at #196 and it's climb was a lot slower. At this point it was only #85. It was another two and a half weeks before it managed to get to the top 30!

#9 on iTunes, and there are 2 versions of Drake's single in the top 10, so it's basically 8.

I hope we don't have a repeat of the Radio 1's reluctancy to play SLS as much as other songs on their playlist. Yesterday Hair was the only new addition not to get a 'new addition for new music friday' slot, but it got a chart play instead. Today they've played Black Magic instead. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think a better way for us to see impact would be making a percentage between the numbers of singles released and the top 20's. Like, Girls Aloud had 22 top 20's and 23 singles, right? So 95,6% were Top 20's
