Netherlands and UK don't deserve zero but I'm not really bothered about the other 11 scoring nul points. Overall a strong set of results and a France win would be great in the real thing.

I do wish there was a little more variance in these votes. Songs like Georgia, Montenegro, Greece and The Netherlands are well-made songs for the people who like that respective sort of music but OGAE would never have enough diversity across a whole country's committee to point them - while simultaneously nearly everybody on these committees ignoring things like Malta, Belgium and Macedonia is weird as each seems like the sort of thing a FEW would like more than the others.

 

Does anyone know how many are in each fanclub? The more there are the more likely that each individual vote is diluted to this sort of thing where each vote is nearly the same which I suppose is good news for France if there are a lot of them. I still can't see it doing anything near that in the actual contest.

As I thought, the lower scores for France (as well as most of the more unusual scores) have mostly come from smaller clubs. I guess I'd just like to see variances between countries but it's all the same type of music fan and I can't tell without looking at most of the votes which country they come from. Not saying I want these to be influenced in the same way as diaspora but more in the way of 'there is way more difference in human music taste than this subset' and ultimately it's a tunnel vision representation of what's getting love.
