April 5, 20169 yr Iggz to be eliminated next please. Easily the worst one for me. Nothing too surprising with the results so far, they Beyoncé/Rihanna/Britney singles are all quite divisive amongst their respective fanbases and Amerie's track isn't especially well known.
April 6, 20169 yr Not too surprised by the results, Amerie's song is forgettable and the others are all either love/hate. Iggy to go next (should have been away before Britney).
April 6, 20169 yr I've said it the past 2 times, but I'm certain the sats will be out next  ... travesty that Brit and potentially they will finish below Iggy <_<
April 6, 20169 yr I'd consider 'Work Bitch' my 3rd favourite Britney song, it's worked its way to become an essential anthem for me over the years. I imagine if she ever tried to recreate it it'd be potentially bad, but as a one off it's good. You've enjoyed her last two albums, why would it be potentially bad?
April 6, 20169 yr The Saturdays 'Work' is EASILY the worst on here, annoyed it's so high. I'd say it's one of their better singles. Back in 2009, I was really shocked it only managed a #22 peak. The video was a bit of an 'Umbrella' rip off though.
April 6, 20169 yr #6 | Iggy Azalea - Work (AVG. 7.38) 'Work' Count: 40 Highest: Jack, HarryEzra, mdh (11) Lowest: Qween (2) Walk a mile in these louboutins x Iggy Azalea released Work as her debut mainstream single in 2013, and it became a slow burner in the chart, eventually peaking at #17. Despite follow-ups Bounce and Change Your Life peaking higher, they failed to replicate the sales of Work. Of course, Iggy outdid herself when Fancy and Black Widow came along and they became her biggest hits but Work did pretty well considering Iggy was new to the charts at the time. It just misses the top 5 here, I'm pleasantly surprised it's even this high considering a rap track like this quite clearly isn't to everyone's tastes, but I love this and it's in my Iggy top 3 still  _zR6ROjoOX0
April 6, 20169 yr 'Work' is still the best thing Iggy has put her name to but I am glad to see it miss the top 5 here, mainly because there are a lot stronger songs in this rate. The Sats should be out next but I am still thinking it will be Missy due to the song's age (doing fab to beat Iggy & Britney though, yay).
April 6, 20169 yr Back when I wasn't a fan of I-G-G-Y (her music before Fancy) It's not as awful as Bounce though, give credit.
April 6, 20169 yr Author 'Work' is still one of Iggy's most original and fun songs. I actually go back to it more than Fancy or Black Widow these days.
April 6, 20169 yr 'Work' is still one of Iggy's most original and fun songs. I actually go back to it more than Fancy or Black Widow these days. Sane here I just really prefer it to her other songs
April 6, 20169 yr I'd say it's one of their better singles. Back in 2009, I was really shocked it only managed a #22 peak. The video was a bit of an 'Umbrella' rip off though. Keep in mind, it actually would have been #17 if Michael Jackson's death effect wasn't in full swing and it was the 4th single (5th if you count 'Just Can't Get Enough' being tacked on to the album's tracklist later on). Iggy's 'Work' took about a year to grow on me but it's such a jam. 6th seems about right in the grand scheme of things.
April 6, 20169 yr :o :o :o Praise the Lord! This is actually the only Iggy song I really don't like, it has it's good moments, but overall not for me at all
April 6, 20169 yr Keep in mind, it actually would have been #17 if Michael Jackson's death effect wasn't in full swing and it was the 4th single (5th if you count 'Just Can't Get Enough' being tacked on to the album's tracklist later on). I guess it was more because their singles (at the time) bettered the previous one's position - 8, 5, 4, 2. So I expected 'Work' to get top 15 at least.
April 6, 20169 yr By the time Work was released the album had sold so much, and with them being very new, in hindsight I'm not surprised Work did the way it did, but at the time I was very surprised. Edited April 6, 20169 yr by Jimmy Jam
April 6, 20169 yr 'Work' is Iggy's best song for me still, it really put her on the scene. Have such fond memories of it during my year away for my Masters - really helped define that year so i'll always have a soft spot for it. Shocked and quite saddened it's missed the top 5. :(
April 6, 20169 yr Work by Iggy is easily her best :(. One of my favourite songs from the last 5 years and I have such fond memories of it too.
April 6, 20169 yr Slightly unrelated and more relevant to her album thread (but ain't no-one gonna read that lol) I am having a bit of a simmer down and listening back to her album now.. I've definitely been too harsh on her recently. I'm getting reminded about how much I loved the album and Work in particular and while I can't believe how quickly she went downhill quality wise the whole backlash and *hate* she's received recently has been totally uncalled for :( I am to blame too probably, I totally abandoned her music after not liking a few singles in a row when really she ISN'T THAT BAD. Sorry to go off topic, it's just I love Work so much and i'm reminiscing & rambling a bit :snif:
April 6, 20169 yr I have loved all of her singles but I think 'Black Widow' was ironically what made her fail and get the backlash. If you re-watch the video, it's almost like a parody of itself. I know it's strange to say as it is one of her most successful singles but there you go. Kind of like how Alexandra Burke started to fall with 'Start Without You'.
