Emmerdale winning Best Soap!! :o I was hoping for that (as much as Eastenders has trumped it this year) but never expected it to be that likely. Glad to see Bonnie Langford pick up Best Newcomer and Stacey's Postpartum Psychosis get Best Storyline, but wtf at Doctors getting Best Episode! Also, Rakhee and Steve McFadden were ROBBED!

Steve got Lifetime Achievement Award for 26 years in the role of Phil Mitchell - that's how long Pam played Pat for!

Tbf, as much as a state the show is in rn, I do think the awards they did win highlight what they have actually got right - I've seen a lot of praise for the characters of

Pat, Mary, Sally and Tim

and seem to be the only factors that keep a lot of people watching, going from other forums.
