Posted March 29, 200619 yr What are people's opinions on Co&Ca, random emo-prog-metal-weirdness merchants extraordinaire? I reckon their albums have got progressively better - 'Second Stage Turbine Blade' had some awesome songs but a couple of duff ones, 'In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3' was all good, while the newest (and possibly most preposterously title album in living memory) 'Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV, Volume 1: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness' is just phenomenal from start to finish. I wonder how Claudio manages to sing like that though... big bloke with a scary beard and giant 'fro, yet he sounds like Joe Pasquale.
March 29, 200619 yr It took me a while to cotton onto Co & Ca, but I reckon any fan of bands like Mars Volta or Flaming Lips would love em.... Great band...
March 29, 200619 yr Alot of my friends have been say how good they are, i personally haven't heard anything yet. But i will be seeing them at Download at Donnington this year.
March 29, 200619 yr I've heard one song, it was ok. I don't like the look of the lead singer though. Offputting.
March 29, 200619 yr I've heard one song, it was ok. I don't like the look of the lead singer though. Offputting. Wait a minute, you don't like the look of the lead singer?? Surely the reason to like or dislike a Metal or Hard Rock band is the actual music, we aint talking about the shallow world of Manufactured pop here... Whether he happens to be blessed with good looks or not dont count for sh!t as far as I'm concerned. The only concern for me is 'is the music good?' Answer, 'yes it is', end of story....

I was just giving my opinion. I do know that the music is more important than looks but seeing him in the video did make me want to turn it off. He could at least do something with all that hair !! They are talented though.

Fair enough you're just giving an opinion, but there's an easy way around it - dont watch the videos..., just listen to the CDs....The hair thing is just his particular style innit? It's not that far removed from Cedric and Omar's (Mars Volta, At The Drive-In) afros. The main thrust of my argument is basically Metal bands have no obligation to be pretty boys or girls, because at the end of the day for a metal fan the music is more important than the looks....
