True but I don't think that signifies that Sigma were trying to go for a 90s vibe with this single! Very little of TT's material from the last 10 years sounds anything like what they put out in the 90s.

 

I'm not trying to stick up for them though really, I think they've really lost their way too since Nobody To Love and Changing. They definitely have a formula that they're not shying away from but then the same could be said about many commercial dance acts, it's just that many disappear long before getting to a 6th hit! That said I do think Cry is better than the Rita Ora and Labrinth tracks.

Well to be fair, Take That are a 90s band. They had 8 number 1s in that decade!

 

 

Take That were a big 90's band band but they equally as big if not bigger in the 00's. They had more number 1's in the 90's but sold far more in the 00's.
