Fans delighted as Barlow insists: We're back for goodOct 9 2006

"At one point Nigel (Martin-Smith, manager) wanted to replace Jason with Shayne Ward. It's bad enough that Rob's not there, but without him we're still Take That."

Apology to Nigel Martin Smith

October 18, 2006

On September 4th and 14th we wrote about "The Nineties", a song written by Robbie Williams for his soon to be released album.

The first piece carried quotes from the song and quotes from Robbie himself which alleged that Nigel Martin Smith, who used to manage Take That, either stole the profits from a European tour or incompetently failed to make any and lied to the band when they asked about it.

In fact, there is absolutely no truth in these allegations. The European tour did make money, the band were paid and the accounts were scrutinised by accountants and found to be unimpeachable.

We sincerely apologise to Nigel Martin Smith for the distress caused by publishing these allegations and have agreed to pay him compensation.

:o :arrr: :arrr: :arrr:

Maybe it was just you that didn't get paid Rob?

In about ten years from now RW will look like George Clooney (an older 'hunk') and I'm afraid that JO

will look like Keith Richards.......

:cheer: :yahoo: :cheer:

I don't care how he will look when he's older, he'll still be the same person, and we will all have aged to.

Robbie may quit playing live

Robbie Williams has revealed that his recent world tour may prove to be his last.

The singer was forced to cancel the Asian leg of his Close Encounters tour, citing "stress and exhaustion" and told Radio 2 he was so fed up of playing live that he may quit touring for good.

He said: "I will probably never go on tour after this. That is unless I've got a divorce to pay for or a family and I want to get out of the house.

"I love talking about my songs on radio but you can do that for three and a half minutes and go home."

The news will come as a blow to Robbie's EMI record label, who are hoping his new album 'Rudebox' will revive their flagging fortunes.

The label's revenues and underlying profits are down for the first half of the year, according to the latest figures.

However, the music giant is hoping Robbie's new album, as well as the new All Saints LP and Moby's greatest hits collection, will see them improve in the second half.

'Rudebox' is released on Monday (October 23).

Adidas to launch Robbie Williams tracksuits

pocket-lint.co.uk

17 October 2006 - Robbie Williams has become something of a cultural icon and even in his earlier Take That days, he could be seen wearing adidas clothing. Now things are set to move to a higher level with the launch of the Robbie Williams adidas tracksuit.

adidas and Robbie Williams have enjoyed a formal relationship for several years. Robbie recently approached adidas to investigate the possibility for some custom made adidas tracksuits to feature in the visuals of his latest album campaign. adidas was happy to enter into this project with him, which resulted in the production of the tracksuits worn by Robbie Williams on the cover of his "Rudebox" album.

The three different tracksuit styles will go on sale on the morning of Friday, 20th October as a very limited edition. The outfits are available in men and women styles and are sold exclusively at nine adidas Originals stores worldwide. Those stores can be found in Hong Kong, Berlin, Cologne, Zurich, Copenhagen, London (Earlham Street), Amsterdam, Lille and Barcelona.

This collaboration is the result of mutual respect grown over the last years.

well, I hope NMS will be getting no money from Rob since the offending lyrics have been removed from the album so I guess he was trying to get money elsewhere and actually I think it serves the Sun just right. :P

Because (as has already been said) if it hadn't been for Vicky blabbing NMS probably would have only found out about the lyrics after the album release. And we wouldn't have had all the hassle and worries that the album could be delayed, to be honest it was doing my head in...

Counterfeit Robbie goods set to clothe East European poor

By Craig Lewis

Thousands of pounds worth of fake Robbie Williams clothing is to find a good home in impoverished parts of Eastern Europe.

The move follows a operation by Milton Keynes Council Trading Standards officers.

Dozens of rogue traders were caught selling more than a thousand counterfeit T-shirts and sweatshirts, bearing the superstar’s trademark, during his recent five-day gig at the National Bowl.

Trading Standards officers were joined by colleagues from Environmental Health, the Safer Communities Unit and Milton Keynes police.

The items seized will now be donated to His Church, a registered charity that distributes to orphans and homeless people in Eastern Europe.

Head of Trading Standards Ken Searle said: “We are determined not to let Milton Keynes get a reputation as somewhere where sales of fake products will go unchallenged.

“Counterfeiting of clothing, DVDs or any other products undermines the investment of the legitimate manufacturer and threatens the livelihood of reputable retailers in the city.

“It’s a crime that can carry a hefty fine or a jail sentence. The products are often of poor quality as well. So our message to the public is ‘put the pirates out of business – don’t buy from them’.â€

Robbie will entertain you

October 19, 2006 12:00am

DON'T believe everything you hear.

Rumours that Robbie Williams is preparing to cancel the Australian leg of his world tour are absolute nonsense, promoter Michael Chugg says.

"I can confirm that Robbie Williams will not be cancelling his Australian tour," Chugg rep Susan Heymann said yesterday.

"We have had confirmation direct from his agent and management that these dates will go ahead as planned."

The whispers began after Robbie cancelled the Asian leg of the tour last month, citing exhaustion and stress.

He was reportedly admitted to a British rehab clinic.

But Australian fans need not worry -- local promoters flew to Germany six weeks ago to learn about the show's set-up and figure out how to make it translate here.

As a result of that planning trip, extra tickets went on sale recently.

Robbie's December 18 show in Melbourne is the final show of the entire world tour, and we're pretty sure he won't want to miss that.

Especially seeing as Robbie's good mate, Kylie Minogue, is in town that night and has a night off from her concert dates.

She's the one

18 October 2006

EDITORIAL - whtimes@archant.co.uk

A FAN of pop star Robbie Williams went into labour while she was at one of his concerts - but refused to go home early.

Juliet Pomerance, of Westland Road, Knebworth, said: "I was due a week before the concert but we had bought the tickets before I got pregnant.

"I had a sleepless night the night before we went but I wasn't sure it was going to happen otherwise I wouldn't have gone.

"I thought I'd risk it and a lot of my friends think I'm a bit nutty."

She attended last month's concert at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes with husband Nigel and two of their friends.

"Nigel was keen for me to go to the concert because he really likes Robbie's music himself.

"While we were there I could feel little contractions coming but we stayed to the end of the concert. It was great."

The 36-year-old phoned her midwife when she got home.

She finally gave birth to Lily Skye Pomerance at 6.30am the following morning - the bundle of joy weighing in at a healthy 8lb 1oz.

Lily is the couple's third child, after Jordan, six, and Daisy, two.

Juliet said: "I was very excited. Only a week before we had decided to have a home water birth so I had the baby in our conservatory, in a birthing water pool.

"My husband was a bit nervous about the idea but I have always wanted a home birth and I told him that I'm the one that has to go through it."

Juliet does not think the pop star's music induced her baby but she added: "We left a message at Robbie's hotel to tell him our good news but he didn't get back to us.

Has a nice pic of Robbie's hairy ass, lol!!

The cheek of it Robbie!

Last updated at 11:50am on 20th October 2006

Robbie Williams was back to his cheeky self last night as he bared his bottom on stage at the MTV Latin America Awards in Mexico City.

After performing on stage he set upon a very lucky girl. However, she might have been concerned about his intentions as seconds later he put his hand down his pants and bared his perfectly pert bottom on stage - before he snogged the fan.

Performers at the star-studded bash weren't afraid to get their tongues out - in keeping with the shape of the gong which the winners received: a tongue with a stud in it.

Not to be outdone by Robbie, Latino beauty Shakira made sure she was the top totty of the night by sporting two beautiful outfits - clearly picked to show off her best, erm, charms. Robbie might not agree, but a girl can never have enough clothes now, can she?

Robbie Williams Will Continue Working Until He Falls In Love

All Headline News

Love is the only thing that will stop a British superstar from playing sweet pop music and selling out nationwide concerts. Until then Robbie Williams says he's just going to keep on jammin' to the top of the charts.

The 32-year-old has vowed to quit music when he finds true love; however, with the string of women the singer has had throughout the years, it might just take a while for Cupid to come around.

The singer releases his tenth solo album, "Rudebox," on Monday and insists he won't stop writing songs and performing until he falls in love.

According to Scotland's Daily Record newspaper, he said, "There is always a song to be written. Until this dies within me, I will continue. If I fall in love and want to travel around the world with that person, then perhaps I will stop. But I am not in love. I have work to do which gives me a purpose in life."

The British pop singer has been unlucky in love and his last serious relationship was with model Rachel Hunter in 2003.

He had a fling with British socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson earlier this year and was once engaged to All Saints singer Nicole Appleton, who is now dating his arch rival Liam Gallagher, singer of Oasis.

Robbie has also been romantically linked to former Spice Girls Geri Halliwell and Melanie Chisholm as well as Natalie Imbruglia, Cameron Diaz and Nicole Kidman.

Though the former Take That member says he is now concentrating on his career, his latest album has been panned by critics and he recently canceled the Asian leg of his world tour due to "stress and exhaustion."

BARLOW: 'RUDEBOX NOT CLASSIC ROBBIE'

TAKE THAT singer GARY BARLOW has slammed ROBBIE WILLIAMS latest effort RUDEBOX, claiming the single is not the pop star's best work. Barlow is enjoying renewed success with the reformed British boy band after the group completing a sold-out UK arena tour earlier this year (MAY06). The BACK FOR GOOD hitmaker says, "Do I like Rudebox? If I'm honest, I prefer classic Robbie, and I don't think of Rudebox as a classic Robbie song."

Bloody press

All he said was it is'nt as good as his classisc which is true, but the press have to make it into a war

And he was talking about the Single, not the album of the same name. ( Another reason why the album should have been called 1974).

Yes, the press are trying so hard to drum up some scandal. :arrr:
