50. Lost Kings (feat. Katelyn Tarver) - You

Peak: #14

Weeks on Chart: 8

Very bubbly dance track from Lost Kings just makes the cut. They also appear here with 'Bad' but how far up?

49. Nicky Jam & Enrique Iglesias - El Perdón

Peak: #11 (#1 in 2015)

Weeks on Chart: 9

First 2015 leftover here in Spanish hit El Perdón, which I became somewhat randomly obsessed with last year. It made my Year End top 40.

48. Rachel Platten - Stand By You

Peak: #9

Weeks on Chart: 7

Never got the fuss with her UK #1 Fight Song but I really liked her follow up. Really cheery pop track that should have been her #1 instead IMO.

47. Joey Montana - Picky

Peak: #4

Weeks on Chart: 7

Another Spanish jam here! Randomly came across this on YT & loved it straight away. Something about that infectious beat I think :music:

46. Troyboi - And Wot?

Peak: #6

Weeks on Chart: 6*

Big club banger up next from Troyboi. Wasn't keen on this initially but it's a definitive driving anthem for me now.

*denotes still on chart

45. Galantis - No Money

Peak: #5

Weeks on Chart: 6*

Galantis' previous hit 'Peanut Butter Jelly' finished at #7 in my 2015 countdown & their equally catchy follow-up is off to a good start too.

44. Julian Cross & Bear (feat. Libbie) - Forget Me Nots

Peak: #13

Weeks on Chart: 9

Who knew a house version of Patrice Rushen's classic track could work so well? Certainly not me until I heard this cool reworking...

43. Alan Walker - Spectre

Peak: #4

Weeks on Chart: 6

Whilst his big hit 'Faded' didn't do so well in my chart (only ranks at #71 at present) this other gem of his made more of a splash after first hearing.

42. Drake (feat. Wizkid & Kyla) - One Dance

The biggest song in the world right now makes my top 50 after only 5 weeks on the chart. Brilliant sample usage on this one & as with most of his best songs I love his sing/rap style which is in full effect here.

41. Meghan Trainor - NO

Peak: #9

Weeks on Chart: 8*

Big fan of her comeback single, love the throwback sound. Besides that it's just an all round catchy tune!

40. Kungs vs Cookin' on 3 Burners - This Girl

Peak: #4

Weeks on Chart: 7*

Hopefully set to become a huge summer smash in the UK this brass-led house track is right up my street & likely to climb ahead of the Year End Chart.

39. Fifth Harmony (feat. Ty Dolla $ign) - Work From Home

Peak: #2

Weeks on Chart: 6

American's Little Mix scored their biggest hit to date with the infectious Work From Home & became one of a long list of tracks kept off #1 on my chart by Sigala's 'Say You Do'. I really like Ty's rap section & Camila's ad-libs especially in this song.

38. Matt Simons - Catch & Release (Deepend Remix)

Peak: #2

Weeks on Chart: 7

Another bridesmaid to 'Say You Do' this gloriously deep house track was a very gradual grower but I eventually fell in love with those laidback vocals over that juicy bassline.

37. Disturbed - The Sound Of Silence

Peak: #1

Weeks on Chart: 6*

The first #1 to feature in this countdown this is an absolutely stunning cover of Simon & Garfunkel's classic defying all the odds (in being a rock ballad) to top my chart. The whole song is a piece of magic all the way through.

36. SOPHIE - JUST LIKE WE NEVER SAID GOODBYE

Peak: #5

Weeks on Chart: 10

A track spanning back into last year's chart this wonderfully zany dance piece had a rather unusual chart run peaking relatively late into its chart life. The production on this is irresistible...

hey Dobbo!

although I haven't commented yet I have been following this - really good to see the additions for One Dance, Work From Home, and of course your 3 week number one masterpiece that is The Sound of Silence. really like that other Alan Walker track - could be a minor hit with the right support!

also El Perdon is such a good track, even though I have no idea what the bloke is saying I share your love for obscure Spanish songs (I was amazed at how much our music tastes overlapped when I first joined this site in December I remember )

that Lost Kings track is a really positive bop also - something tells me I would have liked that if it had have been out a few months ago a whole lot more. are Lost Kings the ones that Spadam likes?

really liked this so far - will make another full comment soon ^_^ great countdown so far!

Thanks for the comment mdh!

Yeah I think with a vocal Spectre could be another big hit for Alan, it has a very distinctive sound which will stand out at the moment.

I know it's wonderfully bizarre! All the loving of dance songs & a random Spanish track thrown into the mix

I believe Adam has charted them on a few occasions yes! Both their biggest tracks so far sounded like hits so it's a shame they never took off.

Looking forward to your views on the next batch :)

35. Mura Masa - What If I Go?

Peak: #4

Weeks on Chart: 7*

A really funky track here from Mura Masa which I'm surprised hasn't took off in the Charts. Really catchy vocal hook & a punchy instrumental which despite hearing loads on the music channels & radio stations will appear to remain an unknown pleasure to the vast majority!

34. Karen Harding - Open My Eyes (The Writers Block Remix)

Peak: #1

Weeks on Chart: 7

The very last #1 on my 2015 Chart was this excellent remix of a Karen Harding flop (even more than her FA Cup Final "performance"). In fact I far prefer this remix to the eventual original release, the production is more in align with her debut 'Say Something' and complements her vocals well.
