May 26, 20169 yr Author 33. ItaloBrothers - Sleep When We're Dead 6MReeYAcEUM Peak: #3 (#2 in 2015) Weeks on Chart: 9 ItaloBrothers are a group I've loved right from their early days of featuring on the main Clubland series. I honestly never expected them to make something as good as their early hits again but then they dropped this banger  They were the Dobagan representatives of BJSC 80.
May 26, 20169 yr Author 32. Otto Knows - Dying For You (feat. Lindsey Stirling & Alex Aris) JVt4oljqL38 Peak: #12 Weeks on Chart: 11 Now I was never a fan of his biggest hit 'Million Voices' actually so this easily became my favourite song of his to date. I love the anthemic build up & those glorious strings especially, topped off by Alex Aris' brilliant vocals. This also had one of the most yo-yo chart runs ever seen in my chart!
May 26, 20169 yr Author 31. Kontrust - Sock 'n' Doll zf--ISBmLno Peak: #6 Weeks on Chart: 9 Without any question one of my favourite BJSC discoveries to date (thanks Ninjabait!) Actually a song from a few years ago but was too good to exclude on those grounds. The rock meets dance nature of this track blends into a mental explosion of sounds & voices I could not stop replaying for a good few weeks.
May 26, 20169 yr lovin a good portion of this chart so far, these in particular;; :D 32. Otto Knows - Dying For You (feat. Lindsey Stirling & Alex Aris) 35. Mura Masa - What If I Go? 36. SOPHIE - JUST LIKE WE NEVER SAID GOODBYE 38. Matt Simons - Catch & Release (Deepend Remix) 39. Fifth Harmony (feat. Ty Dolla $ign) - Work From Home 40. Kungs vs Cookin' on 3 Burners - This Girl  42. Drake (feat. Wizkid & Kyla) - One Dance 45. Galantis - No Money :music: 46. Troyboi - And Wot?
May 27, 20169 yr Author Cheers Dan! I expect One Dance & This Girl especially to be right up in my Year End chart too.
May 27, 20169 yr Author 30. Dawin - Dessert rpLITtLRltw Peak: #4 Weeks on Chart: 9 Really catchy song here from Dawin which managed strong run in my top 10 at the end of last year. Much prefer this solo version to the rather awful Silentó version which somehow became the hit (though flopped pretty badly here considering it was tipped for glory by many)!
May 27, 20169 yr Author 29. Knife Party - PLUR Police (Jauz Remix) U-BqAxM8Z-M Peak: #5 Weeks on Chart: 12 Being an obviously massive fan of Knife Party a.k.a Pendulum side project I'm always hyped for new EP releases after their first 3 were flawless. Their latest 'Trigger Warning' was perhaps their weakest so far but it did yield this immense remix of PLUR Police, far superior to the original in fact. The song samples Inner Circle's 'Bad Boys'. May 27, 20169 yr Author 28. Troye Sivan - YOUTH XYAghEq5Lfw Peak: #5 Weeks on Chart: 9 This guy's debut single 'Happy Little Pill' was incredible & I highly doubted he'd get anywhere near that level again but this song really gives it a run for its money. Love his voice on this & the instrumental is so dreamy... It's a shame he's still waiting for his big breakthrough hit here as he has all the features to have done so.
May 27, 20169 yr Author 27. DJ Snake (feat. Bipolar Sunshine) - Middle IvPT2QuCIOA Peak: #15 Weeks on Chart: 17 Now this is a wonderful downtempo EDM track. The vocals are fantastic & fit the sound perfectly, but it's really all about THAT drop  Despite this only peaking at #15 it had an extremely long run & in fact only 3 songs have managed more weeks this charting year.
May 27, 20169 yr Author 26. Danny L Harle - Broken Flowers OwpP6gNiIWE Peak: #5 Weeks on Chart: 8 This song should have been a BIG hit but just never got off the ground :( I absolutely love the trippy sound to this & it sounded so different among the masses of house tracks we've heard this year. Plus I really like the video.
May 28, 20169 yr Author 25. Pegboard Nerds - Emoji ovrGzbsQZqc Peak: #8 Weeks on Chart: 11 One of Monstercat's finest release in years. Big thanks to gooddelta for endorsing this gem as it wouldn't have got as much love from myself otherwise! The vid is really cool & I like the way the music changes based on the protagonist's moods throughout.
May 28, 20169 yr Author 24. Mike Posner - I Took A Pill In Ibiza (Seeb Remix) Mike Posner - I Took A Pill In Ibiza (Seeb Remix) Peak: #3 Weeks on Chart: 10* One of the biggest songs of the year is this wonderful remix of an originally acoustic track from the "washed up singer" himself Mike Posner. Turned out to be a slow burner for me but I'm glad it became a huge global #1 & it sounds fantastic in clubs too.
May 28, 20169 yr Author 23. Sigala - Sweet Lovin' qj5zT4t7S6c Peak: #2 Weeks on Chart: 10 The follow up to 'Easy Love' & a track I prefer to that also, 'Sweet Lovin' is a euphoric dance track which was always set to do well here. Held off #1 by Justin Bieber but managing a very long run that stretched far back into last year.
May 28, 20169 yr Author 22. Riton (feat. Kah-Lo) - Rinse & Repeat f4oWpvJ0f8Q Peak: #4 Weeks on Chart: 10 A bangin' tune next in Rinse & Repeat. I love the production in this & all its little bleeps throughout. One of the very few held back tracks this year but it managed a respectable peak both officially & here.
May 28, 20169 yr Author 21. Lincoln Jesser (feat. Yuna) - Baby Boy NVsFfchEl5I Peak: #5 Weeks on Chart: 9* My current BJSC entry just misses the top 20. This is such a lush track, the chilled verses work perfectly with Yuna's vocals & that wobbly instrumental in the chorus just tops it off. Please vote for Dobago! (if you like the song) :cheer:
May 28, 20169 yr not big on your current BJSC entry tbh :( hope we get another banger next month. loving Sigala, Mike Posner, Danny L Harle and DJ Snake from that selection  Sweet Lovin' is currently on course to finish in my EOY top 10 this year which would make it the first song to make two consecutive year-end top 10s :o It could've been a big contender for the #1 had it been released this year instead of the tail end of last year.
May 29, 20169 yr Author Ah never mind I did 'Feel' it wouldn't be as wide-appealing as my previous entry! Now that would be impressive re: Sweet Lovin'! Knew it had a crazy good run in your chart but that's something else. I'd definitely say another one of his tracks is set to do very well in my chart.
June 3, 20169 yr Author 20. Yall (feat. Gabriella Richardson) - Hundred Miles 9hmd7of42DM Peak: #6 Weeks on Chart: 13 Cool trophouse track here from Yall which I initially didn't find all that special but grew with later listens. The melody is very catchy & despite moderate success across Europe it never took off over here which is a shame as it sounds like it could be a hit as big as This Girl!
June 3, 20169 yr Author 19. ZAYN - PILLOWTALK C_3d6GntKbk Peak: #2 Weeks on Chart: 11 I must admit I wasn't expecting something anywhere NEAR this good from the former 1D man's first solo venture. Loved it from the first listen & was very happy to see go straight in at UK #1. It just missed out on the top spot here to guess who? Yep, Sigala.
June 3, 20169 yr Author 18. Stormzy - Shut Up RqQGUJK7Na4 Peak: #1 Weeks on Chart: 10 "State your name cuz" This was my anthem for the latter part of last year :music: By a mile his best track & possibly my favourite ever grime song. What a moment when this entered the top 10 one place ahead of the X Factor winners single no less!
