Telling that she's a part of the Haus Of Edwards because she has the exact same appeal as Alyssa has to me. Is she polished? No. But she's got such a natural sense of humour that shines without even trying. But of course Shangela can turn it on a stand up challenge too <3

WAKE UP PEARL!??!!!! WAKE UP!!!?!!! She woke up a long time ago, god damnit. Pearl is next in 17th place. First off let's talk about what I know all y'all are thinking. TRADE. OMG, Pearl out of drag :drama: I can't, she is so hot, it should be illegal. Like look at that James Dean face :drama: :drama: :drama: On the off chance you see this Miss Pearl...call me gurllll. Seriously though, let's talk about Pearl's achievements on the show. Pearl got off to a stuttered start on season 7, struggling to make her mark on the competition, and very lucky not to be an early exit from the show (what a travesty that would have been :drama: ) but after winding up in the bottom 2, Pearl started to hit her stride. After the most iconic moment of the entire season: Is there something on my face?! :drama: :drama: her and Max slayed the Despy Awards, and Pearl found some form. She did wind up in the bottom 2 once more, in one of the worst lip syncs DR has given us against Miz Fem, but Pearl survived again, and made it all the way to top 3. Since Drag Race Pearl has been releasing some music, that's very different from any of the stuff other queens from the show have put out, and I kind of dig it tbh; not really seen much else of her though, so I hope she pops up again, because I love me some Pearl :wub:

Pearl does Djing in Drag now, that seems to be what her main focus is. She's Djed a lot of events where the other queens are doing stand-up etc. As I said before, I think she was really cool, had a really good sense of humour and had some amazing looks. I didn't realise she was so popular here, more 10s and 11s than i expected!

Pearl released one of the most surprising Drag Race albums probably ever. It's so different and rather good. Not amazing or anything like that but a very good effort! I started respecting her much more after the show.

Just missing a place in the top 15 by 0.1 is Season 8 finalist Naomi Smalls. Naomi was a pleasant surprise on Season 8, before the season started I had her pegged to be one of the first good queens to go, and probably finish around 6th or 5th. At the beginning of the series she did little to change that prediction, coasting in the middle bunch until Snatch Game where her New York was criminally bad. After though something happened, she started taking risks, and really started to shine, emerging as a dark horse very quickly, and her impeccable sense of style, funny charm, and fierce af runway walk took her all the way to the top 3. I'm very excited to see where Naomi goes from here, I can see her at any of Marco Marco's runways, but also I could see her doing something funny for WoW, as despite that Snatch Game, she showed in the Shadey ad campaign that she is very funny. I expect she could be one of the brightest breakout stars of this season :wub:

Naomi is brilliant, she may not be that versatile in her talents but she does what she does so well. Perfectly polished. Her and Kim walked all over Bob when it comes to the physical 'what you see' aspect of drag.

So happy Naomi managed to come as high as 16th, wouldn't have thought so half way through Season 8.

 

Was always a fan and rooted for her since the start though, she just has such star quality :wub:

First of the top 15 to drop out, and the third Season 8 queen in the top 20 to be eliminated is Thorgy Thor (Leaving just Kim and Bob from Season 8 left :teresa: ). What a kooky, lovable queen Thorgy turned out to be. I don't know why that came as such a surprise to me on the show, as rewatching her MTQs vid, it was so obvious Thorgy would be one of the most lovable queens of the season, but I had severely underestimated her; like I imagined her leaving week 3 or 4. However it became apparent very quickly Thorgy was a big contender in Season 8, despite finishing 6th, and not winning a challenge, Thorgy was this seasons potential winner queen to leave before their time for me. Consistently good at pretty much everything, and the only damn thing that got her eliminated was her own brain mess of too many ideas in the ad challenge, and missing the key element of the task, otherwise she'd have been good, and probably a cert for top 3. Though in defense of her elimination, when she did wind up in the bottom, Chi Chi, didn't even give her a chance. I see big things for Thorgy now the show's over. Personally along with winner Bob, and artist Kim, I see Thorgy staying the most relevant now it's over, I imagine WoW will use her loads, and I'm really excited for it. Do I think she'd be this high if this rate was done later, no, I personally don't think she'd finish above the liked of Alyssa, that being said, I'm not mad that she has, and thrilled she made the top 15/20. Witty catchphrase, you know what I mean?!

I had no idea Thorgy Thor was still in, she was good, but not great. Way too high.

 

It was all a bit try-hard for me.

She came to DESTROY EVERYONE!! with her make up :wub: at 14th, and just missing out on a 9 average it's Kim Chi! Ouch for season 8, who loses another queen, and has 1 remaining queen in the rate. I love Kim. I really do, what a phenomenal talent she is. IMO she's the best make up artist and look queen the show has ever had, ahead of the likes of Raja, Yara, Acid, Violet, Trixie, Nina, etc. Like, as great as they all are, Kim is literally walking art; like I'd pay money to watch her walk around a room in her truly iconic looks. What I love about Kim as well is despite that being her obvious master area that she excels in, she's also unwittingly, adorably funny. She just has the cutest most laughably lovable moments, and I'm so thrilled to see her do well here. In her time on the show Kim was the only queen not to lip sync for her life, winning 2 challenges, and never really being in trouble of elimination. Her mother runway is one of my favs from the entire 8 seasons, it was so emotive, and moving, and it was like watching a silent movie almost. She was hilarious on the reunion as well, the break down in her lip sync :lol: and her telling the pit crew she wouldn't sleep with them in the fear of catching something :rofl: I f***ing died. About her finish position, it's hard to call now, because imo, we probably have the right top 14, maybe Alyssa should be here and it be a top 15, but, there is so little to separate them, as they are truly the best to have come from Drag Race. I'd maybe have switched her with Raja, Raven, or Chad; but I can't really complaining, because they're all amazing :wub: Donut come for her, cause she will destroy you.

 

I'll end it there for tonight, as that leaves all the queens with averages of 9 or above. I can also give y'all a little teaser, the first and second placed queens in this rate, both got averages of above 10!

Yeah, I really doubt Season 8 will have any queens in the top 10. I think Bob will likely be in the next few positions.

 

Kim Chi was very strong and I did enjoy her but I didn't fall in complete love with her, mainly just due to the lack of performance and the shy personality being a major problem holding her back.

I actually think her dorky sense of humour and personality was one of her biggest draws for me. Of course the set of of costumes were something else. That 'mother' look. :cry: still my deserved winner.

All of the remaining queens are amazing. I'm struggling to pick a top 3 tbh, any of Alaska, Jinkx, Katya, Latrice or Willam could get there I think.

 

And then you've still got Bianca, Adore, Chad, Jujubee etc who. Anyone's guess really.

Kim Chi lost that deserved top 10 because of the -1. Quite ridiculous if you ask me. Don't even know how on earth she's supposed to be so dividing. She's a sweetheart with incredible sense of humor, aesthetic, talent. Oh well, I guess recycled jokes from a man in a wig who brings nothing essentially new to the table are much better than all of that...
