June 23, 20169 yr Author The BBC should never get of these two signature tunes: The intro: 6NRU0iH8eVk Or the closing theme: JA3TIvvqxQo
June 26, 20169 yr Author Men's Odds (Coral) Djokovic 8-11f Murray 5-2 Federer 11-1 Raonic 12-1 Wawrinka 22-1 Kyrigos 25-1 Thiem 28-1 Nishikori 50-1 Zverev 50-1 Cilic 50-1 del Potro 66-1 Berdych 66-1 Tsonga 80-1 Women's S Williams 11-8f Muguruza 9-2 Keys 9-1 Kvitova 9-1 Radwanska 20-1 Kerber 25-1 Vandeweghe 25-1 Halep 28-1 Konta 33-1 V Williams 40-1 Bencic 40-1 Pliskova 50-1 Lisicki 50-1 Safrarova 50-1 Bertens 50-1 Stephens 66-1 Cibulkova 66-1 Bacsinzsky 66-1 Bouchard 80-1 Wozniacki 80-1
June 27, 20169 yr Author World No 772, Marcus Willis through to the second round after he was going to take up coaching, the Brit. Could be playing Federer in the second round. Ivanovic out in the first round.
June 29, 20169 yr Djokovic is looking unbeatable again. Very hard to see past him. I'm starting to come round to his style of play though after dismissing it as a bit clinical.
June 29, 20169 yr Author The best decision that the All England Club made in getting a roof on Centre Court. An washout today. Glad that Willis wasn't triple-bagelled by Federer today in their second-round match.
June 30, 20169 yr Huge shock in the women's side with 2nd seed Muguruza losing to Cepelova who is ranked 122 places lower. I thought she was a dead cert for the final!
June 30, 20169 yr Author Anyone seen this rant from Trioicki: yl_0LYjTozM Definitely a big rant there.
June 30, 20169 yr Konta really has had a tough draw, against two players who really could have been seeds. Bouchard has really hit form in the final set. Konta doesn't have the big game experience, however by getting to the 2nd round she has bettered her Wimbledon result from last year, so her ranking won't suffer from this, should she lose. Which is looking likely as she is 5-0 down in the final set.
June 30, 20169 yr Author The occasion on Centre Court probably did get to Konta in the end. Really thought more people would be interested in this tournament.
June 30, 20169 yr Anyone seen this rant from Trioicki: yl_0LYjTozM Definitely a big rant there. Oh my word, John McEnroe eat your heart out!
June 30, 20169 yr Really thought more people would be interested in this tournament. I usually watch Wimbledon from the second week as I find the games are much stronger and fun to watch, and with the Euro competition in the way, I'm more interested in the Football more than Tennis.
July 1, 20169 yr Del Potro recording a great comeback there at the expense of Wawrinka! Had really thought it'd be going the other way there but Del Potro was playing fantastically out there - like he's never been away.
July 1, 20169 yr Author Fantastic to see Del Potro back on a show court and beating Wawrinka. It could be the first time since 2004 that they'll be a People's Sunday following the rain delays we've had this week.
July 1, 20169 yr Both Williams sisters just scrapping through today. I am sure they will both go further though.
July 1, 20169 yr Same, Serena almost always has an early round wobble then barely breaks a sweat in later rounds, last year it was against Heather Watson. With Muguruza out I don't see an obvious challenger for her as she was the only one who went power vs power against her in the French Open & won it.
July 1, 20169 yr Potentially a huge upset on the cards with Djokovic 2 sets down against Sam Querrey. He's come back from 2 down many times before though!
July 1, 20169 yr The commentators implied that Djokovic felt put out being put on court 1 (WHICH IS A f***ING SHOW COURT).
July 1, 20169 yr Author Didn't he come last year from two sets down? For God's sake, Djokovic you can't be on Centre Court all the time.
