Loving the climb for Tears too, definitely my favourite Clean Bandit song now, the production mixed with how incredible Louisa's vocals are make for such a fantastic track. Really hope she can have continued success after this!

There's so many strong single choices on the album but I think it would be mad for anything but 'Greedy' to be released next. It just screams hit song to me and would be perfect for the late summer/September weather. 'Side to Side' or 'Leave Me Lonely' to follow over the New Year period.

 

I'm probably alone in saying this but 'Extraordinary' has always been my favourite from Clean Bandit! 'Tears' is definitely already up there; it's proved to be a huge grower after initially finding it kinda bland. Now, I can really appreciate how it brings out the best of Louisa's vocals yet remaining in-keeping with the sound both she and her audience bracket will be into. I think she could match some of the music that Ella Henderson did - I could certainly see her singing a 'Glow' or even a (decent) sparse ballad like 'Yours'.

Tbh, I feel like I've heard 'Greedy' before too, but nor can I put my finger on what it's similar to! I so hope it's the next single; I know there's a lot of support for 'Side to Side' and I do think that'll make a great single too, but 'Greedy' simply cannot be left too late into the campaign. Needs to be a late summer/September smash!

 

I'm very pleased Bastille have continued the sound of their debut but without trying to repeat anything. Acts usually have a tendency to completely revamp their selves or re-create former glories with their second albums which rarely works, especially if the first was so well received. I think this could become a big hit for them, especially with Capital support (I believe they didn't actually support 'Pompeii'!

I quite like 'Greedy', when I listened to the album, it's one of only two or three songs that jumped out at me. Such a catchy chorus, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Max Martin composition, it certainly sounds like it is. Hopefully a future single, although I'd also settle for 'Side To Side' :)

 

Good to see 'Good Grief' enter, another good offering from Bastille, even though it's not quite up there with Pompeii. I'm hopeful it can eventually go Top 20, although I think I'm pushing my luck with Top 10. The only thing that slightly annoys me about this (and most other Bastille songs tbh) is that the title isn't mentioned in the lyrics - I don't know why that annoys me but it does, I guess I'm just old-fashioned with my pop!

 

'Up&Up' is also brilliant, definitely one of my favourite recent Coldplay singles. I actually love the full 7 minute album version, especially Noel Gallagher's extended guitar solo :wub: kinda wish I'd gone to see them at Wembley recently, I know so many people that went and loved it!
