I'm still playing it but quite randomly, I still haven't caught a single legendary pokemon :lol:

I still play, I’m level 37 and I’ve caught all of the legendaries released so far

This Friday is Pokemon Go Community Day where they’re releasing tons of Charmanders everywhere which if you evolve them on the day to Charizard will get a special move called Blast Burn. Hype.

I’ve started playing this again now I’ve got a phone that can reliably run it and I’m really enjoying the additions. They seem to have really improved casual gym battling and seem to be balancing out the three generations nicely (even if I’m still prioritising getting Gen 1 filled out)

oh! I might have to go for a walk and pick up some Charmanders later then. I do have to go into town to get anything at all (I slightly envy people who live near spawn points or even pokestops) but it's a nice day.

I got 4 shiny Charmanders so I'm chuffed about that, Black Charizard looks so cool. Charmande and Charmeleon has really dull shinies though as they are barely different, the first one I caught I didn't even know it was shiny til I had caught it :lol:

Yay well done! I caught a few shiny ones too and managed to evolve up to a shiny Charizard as well as a normal Charizard and so I’m pleased with that! :lol:

Well I got enough to... at the least, get myself a good Charmeleon when I do my next round of evolving. There were certainly plenty, I picked up a stunning Charmander for future evolving and I quintupled the amount I already had but I think I caught the tail end of the event only. Gonna need several more candies for a Charizard.

I slept through most of the recent community days so I was happy to make this one as shiny Charizard looks so cool. The last one I took part in was Dratini.

Got myself an Alolan Exeggutor now those things are out (and wow, that model is not designed for this game very well) before I've ever seen, in two years, even a sniff of an Exeggcute. Still, he's my best fighter by over a 100 CP now.

Decided to play this for the first time since starting my job in the city centre rather than in a small town and my god I'm inundated with Pokemon and not enough Pokeballs. I went on my normal lunch time walk and walked past about 20 Pokestops and still found myself running out!

 

My strongest Pokemon now is a relatively weak 1616 CP Omastar which I've evolved after catching about 20 Omanytes within the space of said hour. :lol:

Basically all of the prehistoric Pokemon have been super common this week, I've been very low on balls too. I've taken to even avoiding Kabutos and Omanytes now I've gotten a Kabutops, Omastar and whatever Lileep and Anorith evolve into (saving those two for my next round of lucky egg evolving) in the bag, after having zero of all before this started.

A new feature has been released today that lets you add friends and battle each other as well as share items and swap Pokémon too!

I'm only casually playing this. Usually when I go out for a morning walk I open it up and catch a few Pokemon. Unfortunately not a lot spawns on my walk in most areas.

Seems to be the only way I can evolve some Pokemon. I've only ever caught 2 Charmander, so I have him as my buddy. Seem to always miss the days that provides discounted candy tho... still need another 25 to evolve!

 

I am fortunate enough to have 2 Pokestops right where I work, so it's quite easy to stock up on Balls.

I do also like the Research Tasks, I've caught the 3 Legendary Birds this way. However, did get stuck on trying to catch a Ditto for weeks.

Starting tomorrow, there will be a Special Research questline for players to complete. The prizes on offer are the usual XP and items, and also the mythical time-travelling Pokemon Celebi. This is the first time that Celebi has been made available for all players, having previously been made available to those who attended the Pokemon Go Fest in Chicago earlier this year.

 

Anyone still playing solidly enough to get this questline finished? ^_^

Also, if anyone didn't already know, Regirock is available as a Raid Boss from now until 20th September. :)
