Cascada regain top spot in Ireland

Monday, October 2 2006, 19:32 BST - by Dave West

Cascada have wrestled their pole position on the Irish singles chart back from Justin Timberlake with 'Everytime We Touch'.

The act regain the top spot for their 9th week charting, pushing the US star's 'SexyBack' down to second position.

The rest of the chart sees very little movement, although Shakira and Wyclef Jean re-enter from 11th place for an impressive 16th week on the board.

The top ten in full:

1. (2) Cascada - 'Everytime We Touch'

2. (1) Justin Timberlake - 'Sexyback'

3. (3) Scissor Sisters - 'I Don't Feel Like Dancin''

4. (4) Chamillionaire ft. Krayzie Bone - 'Ridin'

5. (6) Nelly Furtado ft. Timbaland - 'Promiscuous'

6. (7) Killers - 'When You Were Young'

7. (5) John Aldridge - 'Lily the Pink'

8. (8) Fergie - 'London Bridge'

9. (11) Shakira ft. Wyclef Jean - 'Hips Don't Lie'

10. (10) Shelley - 'Hit it'

Her Irish chart run has been great! Thanks for that :D
does anybody have the full irish chart run? I know it had 8 weeks at #1! :D

Ireland loves her :cheer: here the chart run thanks to shaky fan....

HDL 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 2 2 4 6 7 11 9 (16 weeks)

i think more weeks than gnarles bark, she may have out sold them and become the biggest selling single in Ireland i think the reason it did so well was it was A listed on their radio stations so shakira did not have to struggle the way she did here, can you imagine if radio1 playlisted it she could have had a 9 week stay at #1 too its the same reason why cascada are doing so well in Ireland too, huge airplay is so important if the act doesn't do promo appearances in the UK to boost sales

is it really the biggest selling single in ireland this year? :o
