Video looks like it'll be some kind of crazy performance video! Will fit nicely with the song I guess but won't do much to sway people :kink:

Not in the UK really, not compared to Olly who has had 2 albums sell over a million and the other 2 sailing over half a million. Gaga wishes she could sell those numbers.

well yer true actually

intrigued to see if the video can turn this around

Pink, Kylie, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga, Celine Dion and as much as i hate saying it Take That all established acts and realistically with how the charts work, these acts are lucky to get top 20 hits. It would have been wonderful if Lady Gaga made the top 10 but streaming is killing the chances of the older acts getting top 10 hits.

Olly Murs may have missed the top 10 (due to streaming) but the song has stayed around the charts building up an impressive sales tally. If Lady Gaga can do this it would be wonderful but it looks highly likely perfect illusion will have a big drop next week.

#12 is OK. I would've loved a top 10 but charts a different landscape now so we can only hope for longevity these days. I'm not sure this will actually HAVE longevity because I can't see radio supporting it for too long (good to see Capital/Radio 1 on board for now at least). It's done decently first week, let's just see what happens but as I say i'm not expecting huge numbers at all for the single ~
I highly doubt this'll peak higher than 12. The best way to go about this if she really wants a hit single is to release one of the poppier numbers from the album (presuming there are some) a few weeks before the album release.
Higher than it deserves tbh.

girl please you stan Britney, sit down.

12 is great considering how intense UK charts have become, it's no longer as accessible to gain a top 10 or even a top 20 placing debut nowadays unless you're Calvin Harris, Justin Bieber or the Chainsmokers (which speaks for itself), so without major radio play/promo and a video, I don't think it's quite as bad as people make out lmao

#12 would be a good debut if it wasn't looking like it's going to fall to around #70 this week

The video coming on Tuesday can't come fast enough. Hopefully will keep it around the top 50-60.

I have a feeling the video won't do much for her in the UK beyond a couple of dark green updates. It should help more in America though, where the song has fallen even more drastically and is almost out of the top 50 on iTunes.

Wow a world where pop brat Justin Beiber is no.1 and Lady GaGa can't get two weeks top 50!!

So now is the time for the question:when/ will she be dropped or will the label keep her around as a C list star for concert revenue?

So sad they wasted the hype on this song :( I'm really not sure what she can do now that the album release date has already been set and announced. I guess put some promo singles out next month and do her usual 'promo single to official single' tactic

i can't see her being dropped for a while yet. she might not be as huge as she was but there's clearly a core fan base there with her who will buy anything she releases.

I inagine part of the change fron the GaGa persona id the fact the budget for her will be peanuts now esp. For videos etc.
She's got enough money of her own anyway even if that ludicrous statement was true in any way.
There's no way she will be dropped lmao. Her star has declined but she will always sell tickets and albums enough. She still has a dedicated fanbase, they dropped the ball a bit with the lead single choice but they can easily turn it all around.

This has grown on me a lot and I like it but it's still not a patch on her previous material.

Gaga makes a fair bit of money from touring as well and there is always demand for her shows because of the performances she puts on as well.

What the f*** does that have to do with anything?

Same could be said for your music taste. You know, considering it's all subjective. Grow up and don't try to fuel stan wars in this forum. Bye.

#15 in Billboard, which is pretty decent all things considered. It's predicted to drop out of the top 50 this week so hopefully the video can help it out some!
just heard this again and i'm just even more confused than ever why it was ever released / how people like it. like i can't actually wrap my head around it.
