Commentary : It's a second week at the top for the "violin song" mixture of dance, violin and Bulgarian choral but just behind is the Moldovan outfit Carla's Dream which has been a big hit in several Eastern European countries. The highest climber of last week is again the highest climber as French act The Parakit climbs up to 8. Three new entries this week the highest of which at 17 is the Romanian pairing of Manuel Riva and Eneli which has been number one in Bulgaria with "Mhm mhm". At 18 is the current UK number one and charting highly in many countries after little more than a week of it being released "Cold water" by Major Lazer featuring the vocals of Justin Bieber who continues his remarkable success of the last year. With the Rio games just around the corner a track out of the favelas in the shape of "Bumbum Granada" by MC's Zaac and Jerry enters at 20. In the 50 years ago chart the classic Brazilian track "Mas que nada" enters at 16 but in the week in which England won the world cup the Kinks "Sunny Afternoon" is still at the top. In the UK chart this was replaced by "Out of time" by Chris Farlowe at 3 on my chart.
