LFS debuts at #5 on the Rolling Stone Chart with 50k sold.
How can it be so much more than on Billboard?

Because RS gives more weight to vinyl.

Which I think is very plausible, as vinyls are always more expensive than cds and cassettes. If Billboard arbitrarily stipulates a number of streams to convert into albums and singles, then they must also give different weights to different physical versions of an album/single.
I guess it's better than making up cassette sales out of nowhere

I always see some talking around but I don't know who came up with fake cassettes. Who did this? Ed Sheeran?

The album soared to a new peak of #32 this week in Japan.

 

No idea what made the album peak low in Canada, though.

Most of the albums above it are currently selling more - oop!

Obviously but surely there are random re-releases and deluxes selling less as well :o
