i had a look through music week magazine today and i can report...

 

illegal is #27 in the TV Airplay Chart and #3 in The Box most requested chart but she is not in the top50 radio airplay chart or any other chart, we have to be prepared that this may only go top20 cause some big recent songs are underperforming

it isnt top 75 on the combined chart this week, Im fearing it could mabye only go top 30 :(

This gonna underperform big style. Oh well. Bring on Animal City next year and everyone will have forgotton about Illegal.

 

It doesn't get hardly any TV airplay because MTV don't play it. Despite being playlisted Radio 2 hardly ever play it. It's really frustrating. I don't think MTV play it because they already have Irreplaceable, All Good Things and Hurt playlist and they don't like to have too much of the same thing. It seems this is the season of female ballads.

i think the only thing we can hope for now, is that sony get some adverts on tv next week ''oral fixation featuring db, hdl and the new single illegal'', like they have done before.

 

but i am optimistic about this release, i mean the media does weird things and big city radio corp could start playlisting this. they only started playing hdl abuot a month AFTER the cd release, and they do it with alot of acts. also christmas is a busy time, so it could catch on in jan.
