It's probably just me. I can never find the options on DVDs. :P

no, I also found it confusing

and I would love a close encounter DVD

I have watched it all now :yahoo:

Its brilliant

especially liked watching the close encounters clips, they showed different camera angles to the one I have saved from the tv. You can tell where they have edited bits out aswell, I'm sure he forgot the lyrics to advertising space in the tv verion :P

I agree about the menu option, not the easiest to navigate around

Eeeehhhmmmm......SPARKLE invited me to post my review here.....I'm not a profesional...so PLEASE don't laugh...I know me English is s**te...... Here it is:

Amsterdam, November 16th 2006

Hubby bought me the new DVD yesterday and I got all day to watch it, watched some of it again today. I took it piece by piece. I 'hopped' over some footage I had already seen.

I haven't all the DVD's and CD's from RW, but I have the CD's I want. 5 CD's and 3 DVD's. CD's: Swing when your winning - Rudebox. DVD's: What We Did Last Summer, Where Ego's Dare and And Through It All. I would like to have the "Robbie Williams Show" DVD and "Live at The Albert" DVD.

The DVD “And Through It All†gives a good impression of what RW’s has done as a performer over the last ten years. You see a singer / performer change from a young adult into the man he is today.

He grows from being a rock/pop singer into a stunning performer who can sing ballads and hiphop too. I prefer to see the performer RW is since 2002. His last tour is, for me, far out the best he has done so far. Still, I believe the best is yet to come. RW is heading to his top. Can’t wait what he has in stock for 2007. (Hope he gives EMI what they want and goes off then to do his own thing.)

There is a LOT of footage on both discs and some songs, Millenium, Kids, Rock DJ, Angels, Feel, Come Undone and Trippin are double, but from an other gig / tv-show, which I don’t mind.

I liked the footage from the Close Enqounters Tour, Leeds & Berlin, very much! Because that’s the concert I have seen in Amsterdam myself.

What I personally enjoyed most was on disc 2 “The other performancesâ€, especially the footage from the Brits awards, the David Letterman Show and Ant & Dec’s Christmas Takeway.

I’m not sure whether I’m qualified enough to give my opinion, but I’ll be honest.

The song “Suspicious Minds†(Jools Holland), would I have preferred instead of the ‘Better Man’ performance (Jools Holland), which is on disc 2. I would have liked to see some backstage footage, like the black and white vid where RW sings in a dressing room “Often†and “Better Man†with Gary Nutall and an other guy playing guitar. Dunno from what year it is. I can image that interviews and tv-shows are not easily to be put on a DVD, cos lots of people will have to give their “GOâ€.

Fans do want to see RW the entertainer / performer and for that this DVD gives a quite good picture. I miss some of the Royal Albert Hall footage though to complete the image.

I think that some fans really like a view ‘backstage’ and by that I don’t mean any backstage footage, but footage where RW sings without the big crowds.

Maybe in the future there will be an other DVD with this kind of material.

I’m glad to have this DVD and to RW I say:

“No regrets, I sing you a love song!!â€

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :yahoo: :cheer: :cheer:

4 hours?!?!!

Oh God my husband is going to kill me,

PS SOOOOOO GLAD HUBBY LIKES RW TOO.......... :cheer: :cheer:

You are very lucky... :yahoo: :D

Great review, btw

What a brilliant evening I have had. The kids at birthday parties..the hubby at work...I have been bouncing around the loungeroom watching our amazing guy.

I thought at first I might be a bit disappointed in the fact that there would be no talking and joking in between songs, but I have to say that every single performance was so superb that I didn't even think about it.

Not having seen any Manchester or Koln footage at all, well this was amazing viewing for me. What amazing performances they were  . Leeds of course was great and it was nice seeing the different perspectives of Knebworth, especially loved how they kept the camera on him the whole time during Feel, then only showed the crowd during Angels.

The second DVD is also superb. There are no words for the Abbey road gig. He looked stunning and sang to perfection  . The forum gig is one of my all time faves and seeing him in those early days again with Fil and the fairly small band with an intimate audience bought tears to my eyes. What a rocker he was back then . How I long one day to experience a small intimate gig just with us obsessive fans who know every single word.

All the performances were amazing on DVD 2 and many TV performances I hadn't seen before. I hadn't seen the Brits performance properly before and I had no idea just how amazing it was, how sexy was he with Kylie doing Kids (what a body  ), and it was great to see White Xmas on the tele too.

One small gripe I have wth the DVD is I just wish they would have written what the gig was at the beginning of each performance...but I am sure after a few watchings I will know them off by heart.

This dvd is a great package of brilliant performances and I thoroughly loved every second of it....and just when I thought I couldn't possibly love him anymore  .

Great review Suse. http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/2862/eusaclapoj0.gif

Was your GM one part of the same order?

Yep, I thought maybe that and the DVD were delaying things since they were on pre-order but clearly not

It's all very odd

So how did this dvd sell last week. Is it number 1 in the Uk dvd chart? Haven't heard a peep.

Don't think so Suse. It's been about No 12ish in the Amazon DVD Chart all week. Maybe it's Number 1 in the Music DVD Chart but haven't seen any such thing.
