October 4, 200619 yr I only really like 'The Great Escape', which could have been a classic if it had done well.
October 4, 200619 yr I only really like 'The Great Escape', which could have been a classic if it had done well. Great band! Why have I not bought the album yet? Always felt that TGE could have been a huge hit.
October 5, 200619 yr They're alright, actually! I've only heard 'Nobody Move, Nobody Gets Hurt' (which is class) and the 'It's A Hit', and both of them are good songs, respectively Edited October 5, 200619 yr by Y!kes
October 5, 200619 yr Excellent band. The album is fantastic, Cash Cow, The Great Escape and It's A Hit being my faves!
October 5, 200619 yr Author They're alright, actually! I've only heard 'Nobody Move, Nobody Gets Hurt' (which is class) and the 'It's A Hit', and both of them are good songs, respectively they're both good songs, but imo, the great escape is a lil bit better. the album is great too i'm supposed to be seeing them live soon...
October 5, 200619 yr I really like what I've heard from We Are Scientists... wish I'd seen them at T In The Park! Chris Urbanowicz from Editors told me they did a brilliant set :D. xXx
October 5, 200619 yr Absolutely AWFUL. They have tons of charisma onstage apparently ... absolutely NONE in their songs though.
October 5, 200619 yr Author yeah, apparently they're brilliant live- really energetic... hope so anyway *fingers crossed*
October 6, 200619 yr Great band! Why have I not bought the album yet? are you waiting for it to be re-issued?
October 6, 200619 yr Is it too late now for 'The Great Escape' to get a re-release? I was always hoping it would be and get the success it deserves. :(
October 6, 200619 yr Is it too late now for 'The Great Escape' to get a re-release? I was always hoping it would be and get the success it deserves. :(Yes - the band cancelled it this summer, saying "Re-releases are dumb." http://www.drownedinsound.com/articles/974059 http://www.gigwise.com/news.asp?contentid=19339
October 6, 200619 yr are you waiting for it to be re-issued? Lol, well it's £6 in the sales, so I have no more excuses, even if they did re-release it...
October 8, 200619 yr Not bad. I like the album cover a lot. I should be interviewing them in a couple of weeks, anyone got any burning questions?
October 8, 200619 yr Author Not bad. I like the album cover a lot. I should be interviewing them in a couple of weeks, anyone got any burning questions? :o how comes?!
October 13, 200619 yr sorry - which website? I've seen them twice (1st time opening for Editors and second time this summer at a festi) and can testify they are a lot of fun live. A bit better musically as well than on the album iho. The album itself has 3-4 good songs and the rest are too cookie-cutter/samey to bother with though.
October 13, 200619 yr www.culturedeluxe.com I'm guessing! The very same. Conclusive proof that everyone ignores signatures on Buzzjack ;)
October 14, 200619 yr I saw them back in April & they did put on an amazing show, very energetic & great crowd interaction too. I'm not a massive fan of the album but as a live band they really are fantastic.
