I'm the complete opposite. I actually think 'End of Time' was one of the strongest songs on the album (along with 'Party') and screamed lead single more than RTW whereas I think 'I Was Here' is a weak link on the album. But I know it's a massive fan favourite and I've tried to get into it but I just can't.

'End of Time' seems to be a bit of a fan favourite too, from what I've gathered, and I could see why it would work as a lead single, but it's not one I like as much as I used to. In fact, I'd say 'Countdown' was the only single I properly love and that was my least favourite back in 2011. Even 'Love On Top', once my favourite, doesn't sound that grand anymore (although I blame overplay for that).

I think 4 just lacked big hits to be honest. Even the album's biggest hit 'Best Thing I Never Had' didn't scream "smash". In a way, the album was a perfect precursor for BEYONCE and Lemonade despite being very different from the two.
