Posted October 5, 200618 yr What do you think? Will the album break 300k+ first week like last album intensive care?
October 5, 200618 yr I doubt it... People might think the whole album is like Rudebox... I would say about 230K-240K
October 5, 200618 yr what do you think? will the album break 300k+ first week like last album intensive care? I suspect, after the relative flop of Rudebox, he may struggle to reach even 200k.
October 5, 200618 yr Author im interested in seeing how the album does in uk since the single wasnt that successful... but in other european countries, it did much better (and still is doing well); hitting #1 in germany, italy, etc... so maybe the album will do better outside of UK
October 5, 200618 yr I don't think so. It's never wise to bet against Robbie but the last single did this album no favours. 250k sounds about right.
October 5, 200618 yr hmm... based on the single, I think some fans will be disappointed with his new material, its different what they are expecting. I think around 220k
October 5, 200618 yr I don't think this album will do as well. It may get to no1 but alot of people may hold off buying it due to mixed reactions to the first single.
October 5, 200618 yr I dont think it will do as well has previous releases but his fan base will buy it :P around 190k
October 5, 200618 yr It may not hit 300k in first week but it will prob be a consistant seller once other singles are released.
October 5, 200618 yr Popjustice has just posted a review: Robbie's 'Rudebox' is the best thing he has ever ever done. (We mean the album, not the single. Obviously.) It's funny and sad and danceable and sitdownable and just generally VERY GOOD INDEED. I think that the album will do well but maybe not be among his biggest sellers. I'm still looking forward to it (the single grew on me but it wasn't a good 1st single)
October 5, 200618 yr Between 150-200k, I'd say. 'Rudebox' (the single) has been slammed that much, it'll put people off buying the album. Edited October 5, 200618 yr by JDL
October 5, 200618 yr I defiantly think it will sell more than 300,000 in the first week. There is absolutelly no way it will sell less then 200k  If Rudebox did scare off a few then the second single “Lovelight†will show people that the album won’t all sound like Rudebox. Lovelight premires on TV tomorrow so people will have heard it before the album is released so I’m not worried about it tbh. The question is not whether it will do well, cause even at worst it will be a million seller. The question is whether it will sell as well as his previous albums. Personally I don’t think it will but after hearing 4 songs off the new album already I can safely say that I am looking forward to this album more than any other album he has released cause it’s going to be something completely different and I can’t wait. :yahoo: In the UK his total album sales get lower but the first week sales are higher each album her releases. Worldwide Intensive Care is his biggest selling album of his entire carear. ^_^ Oh and I am sick of hearing all this Rudebox was a flop c**p. For a song so different to go top 4 is far from a flop for god sake. It reached the same peak as his 2 most famous songs ever,Angels & Feel so to say it’s a flop is utterly ridiculous. It was #1 in various different countries all over the world and was the second best selling sing in Europe for a number weeks. Certainly not a flop. Oh and apart from Q (which I would’nt take seriously these days <_< ) both NME and Mojo both praised the album. :D
