As Barbra Streisand has her 7th UK No.1 Album in today's new Chart, with Encore : Movie Partners Sing Broadway

& Britney Spears has her 5th No.2 Album, with Glory, I've up-dated these 3 Lists to reflect those statistics.

FEMALE SOLO ACTS - 4 OR MORE - UK NUMBER 1 ALBUMS

(WEEKS AT No.1 IN BRACKETS)

(W/E 28th July 1956 to W/E 8th September 2016)

1) MADONNA - 12 (30W)

2) BARBRA STREISAND - 7 (20W)

3)=CELINE DION - 5 (18W)

3)=KYLIE MINOGUE - 5 (11W)

5) RIHANNA - 4 (7W)

NOTE -- ADELE -- She failed to make the List, as she has 'only' had 3 UK No.1 Albums - so far. However,

between them they have spent 37 Weeks at No.1, which is longer than any other Solo Female.

UK CHART ACTS - MOST UK NUMBER 2 ALBUMS

(Weeks at No.2 In Brackets)

(W/E 28th July 1956 to W/E 8th September 2016)

1) ROLLING STONES - 10 (15W)

2)=ELVIS PRESLEY - 7 (16W)

2)=ELTON JOHN - 7 (14W)

2)=BON JOVI - 7 (NOT counting 2 No.2 Solo Albums, by Jon Bon Jovi - 2 No.2 Weeks) (7W)

5) PAUL WELLER - 6 (He’s also had 4 No.2‘s, (7W) in The Jam, & 2 No.2‘s, (2W) in Style Council - (12 No.2's &15W over-all) (6W)

6)=CLIFF RICHARD - 5 (24W)

6)=FRANK SINATRA - 5 (1 with Count Basie) (3 Weeks with Count Basie) (12W)

6)=QUEEN - 5 (9W)

6)=MADONNA - 5 (8W)

6)=ROD STEWART – 5 (5W)

6)=THE SMITHS - 5 (5W)

6)=BRITNEY SPEARS – 5 (5W)

NOTE -- THE SHADOWS -- They have been credited on 7 UK No.2 Albums. 2, (10 No.2 Weeks), as The Shadows & 5, (24 No.2 Weeks),

with Cliff Richard. However, I've not 'given' the Cliff Richard No.2's to The Shadows, as The OCC only credits them to Cliff. If we did add

them to The Shadows No.2 Albums, they would be in 2nd= place with 7 No.2 Albums & 34 No.2 Weeks.
