It's been 20 years since 'tallica wrote, recorded and released this master piece of metal and to celebrate it Kerrap! have got together aload of bands to cover there favourite songs from it.

Tracklist:

Machine Head - "Battery"

Trivium - "Master Of Puppets"

Mendeed - "The Thing That Should Not Be"

Bullet For My Valentine - "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)"

Chimaira - "Disposable Heroes"

Fightstar - "Leper Messiah"

Mastodon - "Orion"

Funeral For A Friend - "Damage, Inc."

Personally i'll think they'll murder it. And i'm outraged that someone is doing "Orion" that was and still is Cliff Burton's song!

Mastodon will probably do a very creditable version of "Orion", but fukkin' Fightstar......COME ON!!!! No way in hell should they be let anywhere NEAR a mega track like Leper Messiah...... <_<

As for the rest..

Machine Head - that'll work, Rob Flynn has the right metal credentials, he was in Violence before Machine Head..

Trivium - Good band, but I saw them do "Master of Puppets" live - you were right John, they fukkin' killed it...

Mendeed - Never heard them

Bullet For My Valentine - Very debatable...

Chimaira - Hmmm, they might do a good job actually, they've got the right 'tude for it

Fighstar - FUKK OFF AND DIE!!!!

Mastodon - Best band here by a mile, this one will work...

Funeral For A Friend - Naaaaah

This would've been MY choice for cover artists -

In Flames or Arch Enemy - Battery

Opeth - Master of Puppets

My Dying Bride - The Thing That Should Not Be

Katatonia - Sanitarium

Dark Tranquility - Disposable Heroes

Children of Bodom - Leper Messiah

Mastodon or Anathema - Orion

Slipknot or The Haunted - Damage Inc

Yeah, I reckon Mastodon will do it credit, they're pretty damn awesome.

Ok, i heard the first 5 tracks today (i know, i'm slow)

Machine Head - "Battery" - Quite good, not as tight though as the original but still good.

Trivium - "Master Of Puppets" - Again alright, vocals are a bit too off and again it aint as tight.

Mendeed - "The Thing That Should Not Be" DIRE! Cliff Burton should be spinning in his grave. the guitars are just shocking, the vocals are awful and theres no need for the over use of a double kick bass pedal for the drums. $h!tE cover!

Bullet For My Valentine - "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" Started promising but he sounds like he's on the toilet and the guitars are dodgey, pretty c**p overall.

Chimaira - "Disposable Heroes" Was going good until he started singing.
