September 15, 20168 yr 'because he couldn't see his rivals' is a testament to how much it's about mental strength over physical It also shows how tactical many Olympic races are - athletes frequently win championships with times which would be nowhere near the best in the world in that given year. When you're not fully aware of where your rivals are, there's much more incentive to run at your absolute limit.

September 16, 20168 yr USA are surely gonna be looking into why they do so poorly compared to the olympics. obviously down to funding but why?
