Friendly reminder that the Christmas Mixes start tomorrow. They are like the Summer Mixes, only with a different name! Timings are the same as the Summer Mixes so you will hear them from 9:45am-10:15am and 3:45pm-4:15pm weekdays and 2:45pm-3:15pm on weekends.

good thing I don't listen to the chart show anymore, how pointless that for about a third of the year the first 15 minutes are cut off. :|

Ffs :puke: At least the mix means I won't miss the first few minutes of the chart because of walking home :,)

Listening to R1 yesterday and they played Step Into Christmas by Elton John :o I know there is a lack of currrent Christmas themed songs around in 21st century but didnt realise it was so bad that R1 have to break their policy about not playing old songs!

Yep I heard that, was it not played ironically though? Alice joked about it being a 'fresh beat' to Danny.

Interestly talking about Christmas songs, Dev mentioned there is a limit on how much Christmas songs he could play on his shows. He said he could only play one Christmas song on his shows this week but mentioned that he could play two next week and three the following.

Thanks. think this is a better idea than Heart having a whole hour of Christmas songs from 8am-9am everyday, probably the same on repeat as well. :puke2:

I imagine the Christmas mixes will be mostly made up of old songs though, even the Mariah Carey song is over 20 years old now and R1 play that a lot every year as well as The Pogues, Wham, Wizzard etc.

Listeners love the classics tbf besides not a lot of modern classics out there
