Why would you want that? I am glad they play new artists a lot aswell as the big songs from the big artists. I hate commercial radio sorely for this reason. The same pop music tracks on heavy rotation all day every day is not what I am interested in!

I agree with this I don't listen to say Capital for this reason they don't really do a lot to support and find new talent their main purpose is to play the 'hits'. I love Radio 1 for the fact their not affraid to support new music and not only that to support different genres. I do feel like this year however Radio 1 have become a tad bit commercialized but I think that has more to do with the fact we have moved into a streaming era and the way songs are charted has changed too.

That's really unexpected, given their limited support of The Vamps recently - they didn't even A-list any of the singles from the last album! Maybe it's just a good song :lol:

Why the hell have they decided for "Controlla" to be today's TOTD? Do they not realise that it's been in the charts for ages? Maroon 5 should be today's TOTD, not Drake

Eww anyway, terrible song, although I doubt Maroon 5 would be any better.

Controlla to spend another 20 weeks in the chart then *_* it sounds like a massive hit though I doubt it'll improve on its current peak position

Yeah you should definitely check it out! It's an amazing project, all the gospel elements throughout it work so well. It's basically the album Kanye wishes 'The Life of Pablo' was. 'No Problem' is actually one of my least favourites on there haha, just shows how strong it all is though I guess.
