New Little Mix single is very good! Doesn't sound like Ugly Heart that much either. Can't really see the comparison tbh.

It's the riffs on the instrumental on the chorus. The verses are nothing alike.

it was only something about Olly Murs. Forgot about him

Strange policy. I thought artist goes 'full steam' if releases the single to get maximum audience.

If I was a music industry manager everything had to be ready before day one.

By the day they release video chart career might be gone. And video will not help at all.

Going 'full steam' increases chart success chance I reckon

That's not strange at all. It's working like that for 2 years. Singles/songs got released immediately after the studio works are done (also to avoid piracy). Of course to shoot a video it takes a bit more time that's why it doesn't appear on Youtube on day 1/2/3.

Before this time singles were held back, were sent to radios later to TVs but wasn't released just weeks, sometimes months later. Now it's on air/on sale, in fact on sale but not on air immediately. If someone would hold back the release of a single, that would a big disadvantage.

I think it's fairly obvious promotion works best when staggered. That's why the video is often released later, it can give the song a much needed chart boost.

I'm finding this a bit weak compared to previous lead singles.

It does boost for a week when song disappears from the chart by few positions at the bottom of TOP 40

What is the problem to put an audio with a lyrics prompter like Bieber did if video can not be done anytime soon them?

I think it is better with audio in youtube than rescue poor run at the chart

First days and entry usually decides whether song will be a hit rescuing poor chart run by video is wayyyyy to late I do not know example which video helped artist to recover significantly or long term

So are we thinking Shout Out To My Ex goes straight to A List then on Friday?
I'd say so, yes!

Yeah I was thinking that too. B-list at the very minimum, but A-list more likely.

Are they giving it any spins at all this week or just during the chart update/radio premiere?
yes about time they followed-up Tilted!!!
I thought 'Saint Claude' would be getting a (re?)-release! 'Tilted', 'Saint Claude' and 'Night 52' are my holy trinity from the album so I'd be thrilled if that was the order of their international releases. I can't see this taking off the same way 'Tilted' did unless it gets a high profile performance, but Radio 1 will probably playlist it and it will help the album for sure.
