How many streams did Mariah manage last night then?

 

Really anything could go to no1 post Xmas - love to see NIEKED/Dyo do it though - great pop song!

Wonder if there's a glitch with the Louis song like what's happened with a couple of others in the past? Niall managed to be just outside the top 50 in a similar timespan, as did Little Mix with Shout Out to My Ex. Would be strange if he wasn't top 200 at all I think.

Louis briefly disappeared from Spotify at around midnight. Considering the cutoff for todays Spotify chart was 11.59pm, I'd assume they counted the streams up while Louis was gone, hence they didn't include his streams. It returned to Spotify soon after tho :D

I'd expect they still include his streams from yesterday in the chart update as they'll be sent in bulk to the OCC, meaning no streams are lost in the end (as far as I know)

Lady Gaga being added to Hot Hits UK is going to be an interesting test to see how much influence that playlist has (even if she is quite low down on it)

 

Bonkers that Mariah is getting that level of streams. I do hope it doesn't make it to Christmas #1 - it would make even more of a mockery of it. I suppose its lack of downloads will make that quite difficult anyway.

Thought she'd have done more tbh, same as last week so should remain steady in the top 10 as downloads won't be quite as strong this week then we will have to wait until Christmas chart week to see where she peaks

Yeah it seems to be a bit of a battle considering nothing is standing out. Be interesting to see what numbers all the charity singles do

Deja Vu by J Cole is now #23 here, very impressive. I don't think he's had a UK chart hit before but he hardly needs one.

Well I know that songs like Wet Dreamz and No Role Modelz are very popular, No Role Modelz has over 100m streams on Spotify. Work Out too is popular, but that's from 2011. I think J Cole has almost become second to Kendrick Lamar with the more conscious side of rap and have seen him described as a mix between Drake and Kendrick. It's almost as if the more popular he's become, the less interesting his raps are though! Doesn't make bangers, but lyrics are strong.

Its a case that if he has huge hype in America is will somewhat be reflected in a smaller way here - I mean I remember Radio 1 Blisting a few songs from his last album but they haven't supported anything from his new one!
