But I'm alone, I'm alone, I'm alone again

And all I want, all I want is to feel again

186. Jonas Blue ft. Dakota- Fast Car 164,800 | 18-13-13-22-44-X

187. Against The Current- Young & Relentless 164,770 | 39-24-29-33-43-X

188. Krista Siegfrids- Be Real 163,770 | 14-20-25-33-X

189. Fifth Harmony- The Life 158,570 | 23-12-15-26-49-X

190. Rebecca Ferguson- Bones 156,460 | 27-27-23-25-50-X

Bones: Rebecca scored her biggest ever chart hit with her cover of 'Bones', a beautiful & nice cover which peaked at #23 & spent 5 weeks top 50!

The Life: The first instant-grat from 7/27 was a summer anthem and saw it nearly become another top 10 hit for Fifth Harmony, but instead it just stalled outside the top 10 at #11. This is my album track highlight, alongside Not That Kind Of Girl, so summery & a perfect pop sing-a-long!

Be Real: As well as there being loads of Eurovision entries etc, we also have new songs from previous Eurovision artists, such as Krista Siegfrids who unleashed new work-out jam 'Be Real' in October and saw the song score a top 15 placing in a busy period! It struggled to hold on well due to the tough competition but this is such a good song *.*

Young & Relentless: Against The Current went from being completely off my radar at the start of the year to becoming one of my favourite new acts! The first of two entries from them is the fun & fabulous Young and Relentless- which despite missing my top 20, held on well for a few weeks & made my EOY top 200!

Fast Car: This really shouldn't be anywhere near this high. It's ok but nothing great at all, not a patch on the original which is one of my favourite songs of all time. Anyway this spent a couple of weeks at #13 before falling very quickly!

Teenage Craze: First of two entries from Kloe this year! Typical blog-pop but really catchy, though I much prefer the follow-up! This is probs in a really accurate position for 2016 & it peaked at #18 and spent 6 weeks top 50!

Sweet Lovin: The 2015 released Dance hit first popped up in my charts at the start of 2016 & became a mini hit, scoring 6 weeks top 50 & also an #18 peak, just like Teenage Craze above! Sweet Lovin may be my favourite Sigala track (it's between that & Say You Do!), such a good dance song which always puts me in a great mood. What 2016 dance song can replicate its success & become a hit in 2017 despite being released in 2016! Alone? By Your Side? Sigala again with Only One?

Unforgettable: Omg first of all that fan cover art may be one of my favourite things I have ever seen!!! Incredible *.* The first of a massive 7 entries for Sia, this is the first of 2 songs from movies (3 if you include Bird Set Free taking off after being used in 'The Shallows'), with Waving Goodbye failing to chart & Never Give Up being a much bigger hit! Unforgettable was a nice cover for the incredible Finding Dory, and despite only peaking at #34, it had great longevity with 7 weeks top 40 and nearly 175k sales sold!

Nobody Like You: And just beating Sia are the only artist who have more entries in this countdown than Sia, Little Mix who have 9! First up is Glory Days album ballad 'Nobody Like You', a beautiful ballad which reminds me of Love Me Or Leave Me (which'll be turning up later!) from the last album. The girls vocals are fabulous & I love the minimalistic production on the track, fantastic track & so underrated already! It peaked at #12 here and spent 4 weeks top 50!

Wildest Dreams: 16-2-181. Not many songs do that well on the EOY charts, but this is Wildest Dreams third year in a row in my EOY, and the first year she's not sold +990k! After narrowly missing out the #1 last year to fellow T-Swift track Bad Blood (which is worse than this), Wildest Dreams makes another year in the top 200 after spending a few more weeks in the chart at the start of 2016 & selling nearly 180k more, taking its total to a gigantic 3.9m copies sold, the third biggest of all time in my chart! Such a beautiful & incredible song & still one of Taylor's best ever tracks <3

171. KLOE- UDSM 204,130 | 42-47-38-31-28-35-42-X

172. Girli- So You Think You Can f*** With Me Do Ya 203,960 | 5-10-33-50-X

173. Noah Cyrus ft. Labrinth- Make Me (Cry) 203,910 | 39-16-20-28-46-X

174. Tegan & Sara- Boyfriend 200,470 | 16-13-16-23-32-43-X

175. Alan Walker- Sing Me To Sleep 193,400 | 39-31-27-27-29-36-50-X

176. Laura Tesoro- What's The Pressure 190,850 | 18-49-X(>10wks)-32-39-X(>15wks)-23-....

177. Kinnie Lane- Unissons Nos Forces 190,310 | 16-13-11-16-50-X

178. Betsy- Wanted More 187,450 | 26-26-24-23-37-X

179. Dwayne Johnson- You're Welcome 183,320 | 9-7-....

180. (178) Kelly Clarkson- Underneath The Tree 180,580 | ....-X(>40wks)-32-25-5-X

Underneath The Tree: Despite selling 90k more than last year, Underneath The Tree drops two places!!! Kelly's Christmas song is really starting to become a classic for me & this year saw it hit a new peak of #5 and be one of the few Christmas songs that heavily improved on how it did in 2015! Fabulous Christmas song & so wonderfully Christmassy *.*

You're Welcome: And we reach the song with the shortest chart-run in the top 200! You're Welcome is from Disney's wonderful Moana (go vote in Best Movie Song 2016!) & is definitely one of the most fun & best songs from the film! This shocked me how good it was & reminds me of many other Disney classics & gave Dwayne his first ever top 50 hit! The song has currently peaked at #7 & look to that to go higher in the new year!

Wanted More: I adore Betsy & Wanted More is her biggest hit yet, can definitely see a big year for her here in 2017 if she continues with this quality! (Lost & Found would have been much bigger had I not been sour over it being vetoed ). Wanted More is a fabulous retro-ish tune that remidns me of the wonderful Duffy & it peaked at #23 and had a very solid chart-run around the same positions! The song has sold just under 190k & I definitely recommend it!

Unissons Nos Forces: Kinnie Lane released her first EP this year and it was really great! The immediate highlight was this French pop-rock track which is a great listen & unfortunately peaked at #11 and spent 4 weeks top 16! At least this meant Kinnie wasn't a one hit wonder any more after Je Te Suivrai's massive success last year!

What's The Pressure: LAURA TESCO *.* The queen become the queen of us all after that typo! I enjoyed this at Eurovision & it was one of my highlights but it was the couple of months after that that I came to love this, after being played 100 million times on Plug DJ & Laura becoming an icon *.* This zoomed into the top 200 on the last chart of the year & it such an incredible pop jam. HIT IT.

Sing Me To Sleep: I quite like this but I'm glad it didn't do too much better than this. The song peaked at #27 & held well for a while, but his other 2 singles are way better than this! Nice but nothing great!

Boyfriend: The song that got me into Tegan & Sara *.* This was such an instant hit with me, the song was so fabulously poppy & addictive, which saw the song become their first chart hit and peak at #13. Boyfriend is also the first of 174 singles this year to be certified silver!

Make Me (Cry): Oops at this already kind of happened in my chart. It's really nice but I've got a little bored of it over the last couple of weeks! Anyway the song peaked at #16 & spent two weeks top 20 in a busy December period & it would be nice to see this take off officially in the charts!

So You Think You Can f*** With Me Do Ya: BJSC classic sent by Pupok *.* I loved this from the moment Lotti showed it to me & this is really the ultimate $l*t-Anthem. The lyrics slay (I practically know all of them off by heart!), the song is a bop & it always gets me in a good mood, from the incredible chorus to one of the most random but great outros I've ever heard! I've been going back to it all throughout the year which saw this end up charting at #5 here in August, 4 months after it was sent to BJSC! Such a classic & a defining track of 2016 for me <3

UDSM: Despite Teenage Craze outpeaking this by 11 places in the wekely charts, UDSM beats it by 14 in my EOY chart! UDSM is way better so I'm glad about this & sold & held around fantastically for a song that missed the top 25! (It peaked at #28!). The chorus is fabulous & this is another example of blogpop done great!

hey Ultra!

I can't at Dwayne "The "Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson" Rock" Johnson having his own song  Shame it's not that great from what I've heard of it, though that's to be expected from a Disney kids film :kink:

Girli and her iconic 'ballad' line *_* its slayage in BJSC was fun to witness.

The Laura Tesco typo too *__* Shame the song is a complete rip off of Fleur East and isn't as good.

Absolutely love 'Sing Me To Sleep' and 'Sweet Lovin' from the first few sections  Both will appear very high in my EOY. Also a fan of 'Fast Car' :D

161. Kygo ft. Foxes- Oasis 214,240 | 23-23-23-26-30-36-48-X

166. Illy ft. Anne-Marie- Catch 22 208,350 | 29-23-21-27-39-48-X

167. Clean Bandit ft. Anne-Marie & Sean Paul- Rockabye 206,090 | 15-26-44-48-44-X

168. Casi- Lion 205,600 | 18-13-24-35-49-X

169. Rihanna- Love On The Brain 204,940 | 42-39-34-X-11-21-33-45-50-X

170. Vaults- One Day I'll Fly Away 204,730 | 6-16-27-46-X

One Day I'll Fly Away: Yeah this got very boring & very dull really quickly. The advert was nice but they've done better. The song was nice but they've done better. Being a John Lewis song, it of course debuted top 10 but fell incredibly quickly & only spent 4 weeks top 50 in the end. Did way worse than Aurora but better than Tom Odell at least!

Love On The Brain: The first of 3 RiRi entries this year! Love On The Brain was one of the standouts when I first listened to Anti- which saw it chart for a few weeks- but it was her incredible VMA's performance of the song which saw it catapult to a peak of #11 and spend a few weeks top 50! This really is one of the best songs she's done in years & it really should have been a big hit!

Lion: BJSC entry numero trois! This is in the form of Casi's gorgeous Lion, which many predicted to be our first top 10 but of course fell short by 9 points in 13th place! #13 is also its peak in my charts & the song spent 5 weeks top 50, of course having a big fall after it disappointed missing the top 10! Such a beautiful track & one of my fave BJSC entries this year <3

Rockabye: And the current 8 week official #1 rocks up with a #15 peak here and a 167th EOY finish! I love this so much & the lyrics to Anne's incredible vocals to Sean's random interjections really make this! Also love the fact the lyrics tell a story which is actually not the same thing we here in every other song! A fantastic song deserving of its chart success & should have been a bit bigger hit in my chart! A 2000's All That She Wants! All artists will appear later on again, Clean Bandit will be crying Tears, Sean Paul has two more features, and Anne-Marie has 2 more songs, 1 may be appearing very soon x

Catch 22: And Anne-Marie's 2nd track is directly above Rockabye! This took me by surprise how much I loved this! Decided to check it out as have loved Anne this year and it was a fantastic track, very 2010/2011 B.O.B song etc & would love this to somehow take off! Anne sounds fabulous as usual & Illy is actually a good rapper! The song peaked at #21 and held around for a while!

Church Bells: Really really fell in love with Carrie's album this year & this saw 3rd single Church Bells chart way after its impact date! Peaking at #23, while I was listening to it on holiday, the song held really well and spent 8 weeks top 50 & is one of my favourite country tracks this year! <3

Good Grief: Definitely my favourite song from Bastille's 2nd album! I've been going back to it throughout the year & it was a fab song to come back with! The song peaked at #16, looked like it was having a very fast descent down the chart (already at #48 after 3 weeks!) but ended up hanging around for nearly 10 weeks in the end & built up a hefty total! Great track!

Love On Me: This got screwed over by the amount of songs released in late October/early November! This started promising with a top #5 debut but was out of the top 15 by week 2 and top 50 by week 5! Though it still amassed a good total & I grew a little bit bored of it by the end, still a tune though and I'm glad it made my top 10! Galantis will be appearing once more later on with No Money!

Se Fue: After two incredible debut tracks from Ana Mena (both which'll be seen here A LOT later), she released 3rd single Se Fue, which while still solid & good, is by far her weakest yet & is basically the definition of album track fodder. Her vocals are still great though & the song scored her third top 10 hit at #10 and held around for 6 weeks!

Oasis: First of two entries for both artists! Really good collaboration between the pair & Foxes sounds really good on this & Kygo's production is also great! Would have loved this to have been a future single & it spent three weeks at its peak of #23 and 7 weeks top 50!

156. Rihanna- Sledgehammer 223,630 | 15-19-21-25-35-46-48-X

157. Kiesza- What Is Love 222,740 | 8-19-29-41-X

158. (55) Taylor Swift- New Romantics 222,250 (964,270) | ....-X[x40]-46-49-46-47-47-44-21-21-30-X (PP: 1)

159. The Chainsmokers ft. Phoebe Ryan- All We Know 216,760 | 4-15-33-50-X

160. (106) Wizzard- I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday 214,600 (636,030) | ....-X(>40wks)-49-18-16-7-X (PP: 5)

I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday: Wizzard's Christmas classic kicks off the top 160! Wizzard, like Kelly earlier, also fall big from their 2015 position, though unlike Kelly they actually decreased in sales this year! The song also peaked a couple of places lower than usual as it peaked at #7!Still one of the best of all time of course though.

All We Know: This became shit after a couple of weeks. As evidenced by that fabulous holding on of 4-15-33. Tbh its not too bad but it shouldn't have probably been a top 20 hit here, its just dull & not very good. Should be a lot lower than this.

New Romantics: Another 1989 track making the EOY chart for a third year in a row! This time it's deluxe song New Romantics which went to #1 back in 2015! The song re-entered for a few weeks as it was a kind of single with a kind of shit tour video- but still the song slays so it deserved to re-enter!

What Is Love: I stumbled across Kiesza's beautiful cover of What Is Love a couple of years after it was released, and as soon as I heard it a couple of months ago, I fell in love with it! This saw Kiesza score her fourth top 10 hit as this shot into #8th in a busy week and has sold really well! Will be interesting to see how her new single does here, it is released next week!

Sledgehammer: The 2nd of 3 RiRi entries in the form of Star Trek Beyond's Sledgehammer (go vote in best movie song 2016! x). This nearly became her first top 10 of the year but it stalled at #15 and held around for 7 weeks! The song is definitely not as good as Rihanna from her prime but it is a solid effort!

Lost: The next BJSC entry to appear comes from Hushkanukia, who'll have another one appearing later! Lost is a stunning mostly French, but also bi-lingual track with an absolutely stunning chorus to belt out at the top of your voice! Emji's vocals are hauntingly fantastic & I fell in love with this as soon as I heard it! But it charted here a couple of months after being sent to BJSC, as I felt the urge to listen to it & then I got hooked on it again, which saw the song shoot to a top 10 debut at #9! Fabulous track <3 And the last minute *.* Y'all know what I mean if you've heard the song! If not go listen! x

Busy Doin Nothin: With Don't Worry taking off like crazy in my chart, I decided to give her other Melodifestivalen entry a listen & it was immediate love with that also! The song is such an anthem & a jam, the lyrics are great and it is a massive tune! The song shot into 3rd place, where it placed behind Don't Worry & Margaret's Cool Me Down to make the first ever top 3 of songs that lost in Eurovision National Finals and had a solid chart-run!

Try Everything: I liked this at the time. It was nice but nothing incredible. The song picked up a few weeks in the top 50 and had a peak of #13. However the song completely hit me last week after I re-watched Zootropolis! I now utterly adore it & the song works so perfectly in the context of the film- but this time I appreciated it as well unlike the first time I saw Zootropolis where I just found it a fun song & that's about it. The song's lyrics are inspirational & you should never give up! Re-watching Zootropolis saw this shoot up my chart to a new peak of #4- first ever time top 10!- on yesterday's chart! <3

Drone: Another one of my BJSC entries now! I wish Drone did a bit better in the final but I'm glad it made it! This saw us divert from our usual entries to send this indie beauty! Drone peaked at #12 & surprisingly for a BJSC entry, it held around for a while after the BJSC contest had finished, spending nearly 10 weeks in the chart! <3

Better When I'm Dancing: Meghan Trainor saw her movie song from The Peanuts Movie shoot back up the charts at the start of 2016 after the film was finally released here at the tail-end of 2015! The song peaked at #3 in October '15 and spent 2 weeks top 10 this year! I adore this song so much, it is such a fun song to listen to & is one of her best yet! Looking forward for her song in March for the upcoming Smurfs movie, hope it can be as good as this!

Hiya Ultra

Wooooo at Better When I'm Dancin' making it here, nobody seems to stan it on the site aside from us  It is so joyous and as you say, one of the most fun songs to listen to for sure. I loved how it fitted in with the movie too, definitely one of her best tracks for me

Speaking of movie songs, Try Everything is another one I enjoyed a lot. I quite liked it before seeing the film too as it is a catchy little tune but it works so well in the first scene in Zootropolis, really adds to the excitement of being in the big city for the first time just like Judy.

More movie tracks *-* Sledgehammer was a little disappointing, the greatness of the Star Trek film in general and Rihanna deserved a far better song to represent a combination of the two, it was a nice track and her vocals are excellent on it but ultimately, I barely even remember how it goes now apart from the word sledgehammer, oops :/

:D

hey Ultra!

DAILY STRUGGLE *__* Shon de Pol really makes Rockabye such a jam, should be high in my EOY next year.

Quite enjoyed the Bastille comeback also and the Galantis 'Love On Me'.

I love Rihanna but couldn't get into either of 'Love on the Brain' or 'Sledgehammer'.

"Love On The Brain" managed to be quite the grower, and I was super pleased with how it had done on my chart :) Hope to see it do big things on yours!

Also hoping to see "Rockabye" and "Make Me (Cry)" slay a bit more next year!

Thanks for all the comments! #141-#150 coming up very shortly with some similarities to the last section! <3 Any guesses?

A-Yo and chewing gum are favourites in that section. I didn't even like a-yo at first but its grown on me

Thanks Harry! Yasssss at Ayo growing on you *.* <3

Thanks Dan!

Not too surprised you don't like You're Welcome at all :kink: I would have been really shocked if you had! (Disney>>>>>>>>>everything xx)

Girli *.* Still so happy it slayed in BJSC *.*

Sax>What's The Pressure I agree with! Love Laura's so much as well though!

Knew you would like those 3! Looking forward to seeing those high up on your chart!

Thank gosh there's at least two of us that stan it! *.* It really is so fun & amazing, maybe in my top 5 Meghan tracks! <3 (Quick Rank off top of head! No, Kindly Calm Me Down, All About That Bass, Lips Are Movin, Dear Future Husband) Probably 6th then! :D (feel like i've forgotten something!). So excited for her new movie track in a couple of months!

Definitely echo your Try Everything comment & haven't seen Star Trek Beyond yet but do agree that it's pretty forgettable!

Rockabye better slay you chart next year *.* Daily Struggle *.*

I'm not too surprised you don't like Sledgehammer but thought you'd quite like Love On The Brain! :o

Also hoping to see "Rockabye" and "Make Me (Cry)" slay a bit more next year!

Thanks Cody <3

It's going to be interesting to see how they do! All 3 have exited my chart but they could maybe all return at some point!

Love On The Brain is the most unlikely, I think it dropped out at the end of September! But if it somehow suddenly takes off like it deserves to or if she performs it live again, it could prosper it back up the charts!

Make Me (Cry) & Rockabye may also re-enter at some point once Christmas/Gift-Card rush all completely dies down!

145. Sia ft. Kendrick Lamar- The Greatest 259,200 | 29-14-16-15-25-31-37-X

146. Rihanna- Kiss It Better 247,180 | 36-26-25-20-37-X-X-X-X-X-31-32-38-39-X

147. Little Mix- Love Me Or Leave Me 244,110 | 26-29-22-24-23-34-35-39-45-X

148. Stooshe- Lock Down 238,730 | 3-9-21-34-X

149. (52) Pia Mia- Touch 236,970 (765,970) | ....9-11-18-24-30 (PP: 3)

150. Nimmo- Dilute This 236,840 | 33-15-33-10-18-X

Dilute This: Kickstarting the top 150 is BJSC entry #4 (?) of #8, our January entry Dilute This by Nimmo- an artist who have become one of two artists to have a future song become a bigger chart hit than their entry was! (The other being Ana Mena with Loco Como Yo). Dilute This finished 11th in BJSC and peaked one place higher here & hung around for 5 weeks! This is definitely one of my favourite entries of the year, so different for us & such a catchy & excellent track <3

Touch: I really don't get how this was so massive here oops. I've probably listened to it about 5 times over the past 8 months. It's good but more like a low-top 10 hit, 450k selling track! Anyway Touch falls from just outside the top 50 last year to 149 and spent another week top 10 in 2016!

Lock Down: The grand return of our QUEENS OF LIFE Stooshe *.* resulted in them scoring a top 3 hit with the catchy, great but pales in comparison to previous singles Lock Down. This was a nice welcome back track and saw them zoom into 3rd before plummeting down the charts quickly! However their next single was a much bigger hit, as you'll see later!

Love Me Or Leave Me: Little Mix entry no. 3 as we see long-running non-top 20 hit Love Me Or Leave Me- which spent 9 weeks top 50 despite its low peak! LMOLM is a major highlight for me from the Get Weird album- probably my favourite album track!- and it is such a beautiful stunning ballad. Leigh-Anne's final verse *.* Perfection.

Kiss It Better: Our 2nd 9-week running chart hit in a row, though unlike LMOLM this sneaked into the top 20 at #20! Kiss It Better is the best Rihanna song since What Now (and its better than that so before that We Found Love) and shows she still has some utterly incredible tracks left in her! The song somehow flopped officially, it really should have been a big hit, and the song is fantastic, from the pre-chorus to the marvellous chorus!

The Greatest: Another non-top 10 hit in this section as Sia's big UK hit, hit a peak of #14 here! I do like it but I've never loved it as much as I like to. It kind of feels just like an older song being re-released & it never quite fully clicked apart from feeling like a good album track. The song spent 3 weeks top 20 and is the 2nd of Sia's 7 entries here, the other 5 songs all peaking top 10!

No Money: Finally a top 10 hit as Galantis' comeback scored them their first top 10 hit with dance anthem No Money which peaked at #7! The song spent 7 weeks top 40 and I really like it, but I prefer their first two songs which both charted lower in my weekly chart! I thought this peaked at #5 but turns out alas it didn't so Love On Me was their first top 5! However this is still their biggest selling single here!

Shattered: Another top 10 hit which spent 7 weeks in my chart, though Hushkanukia's BJSC entry Shattered by Jillea did it a lot differently to No Money! I loved the song immediately from BJSC which saw it pick up a couple of weeks low top 50, due to it being unavailable on Spotify so I was barely listening to it. However around August, the song suddenly popped up on Spotify and saw this get a 2nd life & shoot to a peak of #10! I'm glad this did pretty well here in the end as its probably in my top 100 favourite songs this year & is my favourite BJSC track! Such a stunning ballad with a powerful, on fire chorus *.*

All My Friends: Another non-top 20 hit which spent 9 weeks top 50, All My Friends gave Snakehips/Chance The Rapper their first chart hits & Tinashe her 3rd! The song peaked at #15 and held well around the start of the year! Love this track & definitely an early year fave, great to sing-a-long to & Tinashe's vocals are fabulous as usual *.*

The Waiting Game: Una's first foray into solo music gave her a peak of #6 and 5 weeks on the chart due to releasing in the busy period of November! She peaked 5 places below fellow bandmate Mollie but this was still a good success for Una! This is a lovely slice of country-pop with a catchy chorus & is fun to listen to, even if I don't revisit it often! Hyped for her follow-up coming out next week!

Pretty good Meghan list there, we share a few tracks there! I think my top 5 would mainly be singles too!

01 LIPS ARE MOVIN

02 DEAR FUTURE HUSBAND

03 BETTER WHEN IM DANCIN

04 NO

05 TITLE

For me  she's great though :D

Edited by Josh.

The Life is decent. Probably would have been the next single if Camila stayed in the group.

Nobody Like You - The whole album is 10/10 for me. Lovely song.

Wildest Dreams - Did like this last year but I don't think I've listened to it once this year.

The Greatest - Sia's best song of all-time for me now.

"All My Friends" is a jam but I may have overplayed it in my personal opinion, it should have smashed worldwide tho

Hey Sam!! Loads I've missed :o
