THE TOP TEN

10. The Chainsmokers - Don't Let Me Down

Kicking off the top ten with their incredibly catchy tune 'Don't Let Me Down' are The Chainsmokers. Released in early 2016, the song didn't really start to smash until summer time here in the UK, eventually reaching #2 on the Official UK Chart. The track features vocal from American singer, Daya.

This is probably my favourite track from them with Roses being a close second.

09. M.O - Who Do You Think Of?

At number 9 we have the breakthrough hit for M.O, 'Who Do You Think Of?'. After trying to get a chart hit for such a long time, getting a top 20 hit in the streaming-era is fantastic! This is such a lovely song and I adored it as soon as it came out. I have high hopes for this group and I hope their new single does big things!

08. Little Mix - Shout Out To My Ex

At number 8 we have Little Mix's huge number one single 'Shout Out To My Ex'. The track went straight to number one on the Official UK Chart despite missing 3 days worth of sales, knocking fellow XFactor winner James Arthur off the top. It amazes me how Little Mix just get bigger and bigger every era! :o

Hi again Cameron

A great start to your top 10, all tracks I really love. DMLD is my favourite though, the drop is just so catchy and I love Daya's vocals too, it gets well good when starts doing all the ad libs and stuff

SOTME is a fantastic pop track too, glad the girls are having such huge success at the moment because the music they are releasing is just soo good and it couldn't happen to more likeable people. I'm hoping Touch can get a higher peak than #4 officially in the New Year

07. Zara Larsson - Lush Life

At number 7 we have Zara's first solo hit single. The track reached number 3 early on in 2016 and finishes in 6th place on the Official UK year-end chart. This song is nothing short of a pop banger! I can't believe this did so poorly in the US! :o

06. Ellie Goulding - Still Falling For You

Just missing out on a top 5 placing is Ellie Goulding's soundtrack single for Bridget Jones' 'Baby'. The track also just fell short of making the top 10 on the Official UK Chart, peaking at 11. The song was partially written by Tove Lo, who you will see in my top 5!

I'm going...

1. Tove Lo

2. Mike Posner

3. Clean Bandit

4. Flume

5. Anne-Marie

...although I'm not too sure :P. Great to see The Chainsmokers and M.O. feature so high

Love all of #6-10! Surprised Still Falling for You isn't top 5 actually :o

Hoping Mike Posner is #5 :kink: Would love Clean Bandit to win although I think we might see Flume or Tove on top!

05. Anne-Marie - Alarm

Kicking off the top 5 is Anne-Marie's massive top 20 hit 'Alarm'. I first heard this on Rylan's chat show where she performed it and I liked it apart from the horrendous buzzing-like noise at the start :puke2:. However, it wasn't until heavy airplay kicked in that I really LOVED it!! The lyrics are incredible! 2017 is going to be a big year for Anne-Marie and I believe that she could get her first solo UK number one soon as radio will be all over her after hammering this and Rockabye!

Some great songs in the Top10, Don't Let Me Down (a shame it didn't have the success of Closer), SHout Out To My Ex, Lush Life and Still Falling For You :cheer:

04. Clean Bandit (ft. Louisa Johnson) - Tears

At 4 we have Clean Bandit's top 5 single 'Tears' which features vocal from the winner of The X Factor 2015, Louisa Johnson. I wasn't sure what to think of this song when it initially came out, mostly because it wasn't the route I wanted Louisa to go down but I'm glad she did now! This song is like no other in the charts, it's funky, unique and I'd say quite daring in a sense that no one releases music in this style anymore. The song showed great longevity and proved that Clean Bandit can be quirky and yet nab a big hit!

03. Flume (ft. Tove Lo) - Say It

At 3 we have the amazing Say It by Australian record producer Flume. This track has been a streaming hit, lingering between 51-60 all summer on the global spotify chart without cracking the top 50! :( It also spent most of the summer in the top 100 spotify uk chart which did seem promising but nothing seemed to happen despite being A-listed on Radio 1! This song was the song of the summer for me and I do know that a few people on here love it as much as I do!!
