December 5, 20169 yr Yeah, but it is now #5 on iTunes combined, so surely not being top 80 at this stage doesn't mean it can't end up top 40.
December 5, 20169 yr Author Yeah, but it is now #5 on iTunes combined, so surely not being top 80 at this stage doesn't mean it can't end up top 40. I was just teasing Hadji ^_^ I should imagine she get there eventually
December 5, 20169 yr She may end up beating her chart peak back in 1994. I'm going to take a guess here but I think she may be the Christmas number 1... If streaming continues to blow up any more, maybe she'll be Xmas No.1 every year there isn't another contender out from now on
December 5, 20169 yr Rolling Stones will be front loaded - but massive sales either way. They may pass 100k - they may not.
December 5, 20169 yr I was just teasing Hadji ^_^ I should imagine she get there eventually I could imagine it missing the top 80 as it's doing very poor on streaming but I hope it becomes a hit Edited December 5, 20169 yr by Hadji
December 5, 20169 yr I doubt Rolling Stones will pass 100k. Pretty drama-packed chart I guess. Zara will probably get a chart play, and I'd like to hope Mariah can go top 5 and Rag'n'Bone Man can stay as high as possible. 6 new entries by the looks, under the assumption Sigala don't make it, good stuff!
December 5, 20169 yr Clean Bandit will probably tie with Lukas Graham for longest running sales #1 of 2016 as we have the X Factor winning single out on Sunday Edited December 5, 20169 yr by Hadji
December 5, 20169 yr I hope Rolling Stones sales slow down and they dont beat Little Mix opening sales, i would like Little Mix to overtake Elvis and stay top 3. Olly Murs is holding on much stronger than i expected, back in the top 5 is wonderful. I am totally taken back by the success of Bradley Walsh again this week. Let Mariah keep climbing, i would be elated to see this make it all the way to number 1. Disappointing second week performances for Kate Bush and Busted, that said, Kate has done very well sales wise for a live album in this era but Busted are looking to have disastrous sales for this album, McBusted has more appeal it appears, that said, the lead single of this album is horrific. Edited December 5, 20169 yr by pippa
December 5, 20169 yr The Busted album is just weird, you'd probably be expecting a more grown up version of how they used to sound, but they don't, the lack of guitars just leaves you scratching your head. I doubt there was any great demand for the "Busted try Electronic Dance Music" record.
December 5, 20169 yr 20k more sales for Rolling Stones than I thought, still think it'll sell 85k max as it'll be heavily front loaded. XF final could change things but if it stays as it is Ball/Boe for Xmas no1 album. Where is Robbie today? Hoping for a boost of sorts from tonight's TV show! I expect Sigala to miss the top 40 but if playlisted could leak in mid January. Edited December 5, 20169 yr by Steve201
December 5, 20169 yr 1 Rolling Stones - Blue and Lonesome (65.6k) * 2 Michael Ball & Alfie Boe - Together (27.1k) (23k) 3 Elvis Presley - The Wonder of You (23.5k) (20k) 4 Little Mix - Glory Days (22.3k) (25k) 5 Olly Murs - 24 Hrs (16k) Just added in brackets in the album update what sales some of the big top 5 acts did last week for comparison! So my predictions for Friday are - 1) Rolling Stones 82k 2) Ball/Boe 68k 3) Elvis 60k 4) Little Mix 55k 5) Buble 35k Edited December 6, 20169 yr by bah... humbug... No need to quote the whole update, just the relevant information will do
