'Lonely Together' preview here with the promise of new music coming very (very) soon. :w00t:

That sounds like a huge chart hit in the waiting, it's got more of a tropical pop feel to it.

Will listen when a YouTube video is up. I hope he doesn't become too 'dance-pop' looking at the possible Rita Ora collab.

It doesn't sound like Rita Ora.

Besides, if it does feature her remember that Avicii doesn't give his featured vocalists an official credit. :P

At first I thought it sounded a little Julia Michaels but as it went on I was less & less convinced :P

It doesn't sound bad... but I'm still waiting for the studio version of Without You

Sounds like he will be releasing in the next week or two? Can see his first song being big.

Its a shame that there hasn't been a mention of his song with Sia (All I Need) but then I guess it could go on the second EP? I will be disappointed if he doesn't release it.

It sounds very similar to Rita Ora, and all the Rita fans are saying it is her in the comments - so yeah, it most probably is the Rita collab. It sounds absolutely BRILLIANT, though, that drop is going to sound so so good in CDQ

Well many people thought it was Lana Del Rey in Dear Boy, and I think there was another vocal soundalike in a song so who knows :P

Just saw BC's post, it's pretty much confirmed it is Rita then :')

hopefully that's when the video is released, and we get the song this coming Friday. really don't want Avicii to do a midweek release as that could limit the New Music Friday boost he receives on Spotify (reckon he'll get an instant top 50 Spotify debut if the song is released Friday).

Yeah but then it turned out to be MØ which is even better

I remember that Dan Reynolds (leader singer of Imagine Dragons) was on a vocal version of Heart Upon My Sleeve which unfortunately didn't make it to his first album. Adam Lambert was on Lay Me Down too which was interesting. Then he had Robbie Williams on The Days, Chris Martin on True Believer (and Heaven which is a jam ), Zac Brown on Broken Arrows, and of course Wyclef Jean on Can't Catch Me. Avicii the King of Features despite not crediting any of them :P

Chris Martin wasn't actually on 'Heaven'. That was just a rumour, it was in reality Simon Aldred (i.e. the vocalist of 'Waiting For Love').

Terrible quality sound but this version is unmistakably Chris Martin, and is much better than the Simon Aldred version too. 0:39

I remember a full version of the Chris Martin version bouncing around a couple of years ago, it was a live version and not great quality but sounded really great as a song. There was a Billie Joe Armstrong song in the works too but I'm not sure if that was a rumour or not

One of the guys of the picture above mentioned that they shot the music video of "Friend of Mine", contrary to the reports that "Without You" was going to be the first single.

I'm now confused as to what the first single is actually meant to be

Can't Avicii just drop the entire EP this Friday please?

Mystery boxes have been sent with a message from Avicii

We all reach a point in our lives and careers where we understand what matters the most to us.

For Avicii it’s creating music. That is what he lives for, what he was born to do. He was just a school kid when he uploaded his first song online. All of a sudden he was performing for millions, in front of a roaring ocean of hands, faces and flashes. It was a lot. It was fast.

Last year when Avicii quit performing live, many thought that was it. His departure from the stage was perceived as him stepping down for good. But, the end of live never meant the end of Avicii. Intead, he went back to the place where it all made sense – the studio.

The next stage of Avicii’s life will be all about his love of making music. It is the beginning of something new and now you’re starting to hear what that sounds like. – Avicii

Just confirms what we already knew about Avicii still wanting to make music, but click this link for another audio preview of what's to come.
