January 30, 20178 yr Author Tbf it was a public vote wasn't it so he'd have gone anyway :lol: But I do agree, it also just makes me feel like they can't be bothered to do it properly so they just rush out certain people and give them a quickie interview, to make up numbers. I'd rather they just had a few more double evictions. I did like that Jasmine went but I hate the evictions where we don't decide. I feel like it would always be engineered so we don't lose a favourite but that didn't help with Lateysha. I low-key sometimes feel like they're just slowly phasing out public involvement as they seem to care less and less what the public think as the series go on! But I think if they did that, it'd be the death of BB, to be quite dramatic :lol: In our culture of moaning about results regardless of what happens I think there'd be a lot of furore if we had no say at all in the result, and also in the case of this series we'd have lost Jedward and Kim long ago. Glad to see the creep gone anyway. Worst of the series by far.
January 30, 20178 yr Author I don't feel like that would work, with CBB relying on big controversial characters. Presuming it was the same nominations, I think we'd have lost Angie and James J still but I think Kim would have gone when Chloe did, and possibly Jedward in place of Jessica along with Speidi. I think arguably they should just abolish nominations and do it like I'm A Celebrity does, all up vote to save, perhaps with the occasional immunity twist/task (occasional being just like once or twice a series to it's actually novel and a twist). Nominations used to be the most exciting part but they meddle with them so much to suit their needs that now I don't really care about them and sometimes I feel like they should just not bother. I know it's a fundamental part of the format but they've f***ed with it SO much why not f*** with it even more? :lol: Saying that, we can't really trust the public to vote either given some of the winners we've had...
January 30, 20178 yr I agree with Liam, nominations have become largely redundant because everyone is normally up anyway or there's some random twist that leaves a random set of housemates up for evicition. Therefore, an I'm a Celeb style vote would work better, especially as its so obvious that the producers want to get out the quiet housemates which an everyone up vote to save would do. Currently, everyone is up APART from the quiet ones such as Calum and Bianca etc. Maybe there could be a fight for immunity each time rather than nominations? That would make things like a gameplan make more sense too. The whole PLAN of the show is currently a mess. The best bits come from the housemates themselves but the actual format is just completely lacking and random. I don't understand why they're doing so many backdoor evictions and housemate decides evictions, it compeltely removes the backbone of the show and removes the drama of the actual evictions. And they wonder why ratings are down...
