I will post reviews for all of the nightmare on elmstreet films and will be in an order of my fav. Starting with my least fav of course, and will slowly move towards the number #1 spot.

Overview Of The Nightmare On Elmstreet

 

Back in the 1980's, people where getting bored of cheep low budget horror movies which showed nothing but gore. Bad acting, crap storylines and as low as it can go.

Then the world was introduced to a man called Fred Krueger. A mad child killer with a claw for a hand. The nightmare on elmstreet films was the big thing in the 1980's. No one would dare to fall asleep, as freddy was coming to get you.

 

So what is the film all about?

Fred Krueger killed at least 20 to 30 kids. The man was sent the jail, but because of a mistake in the files, he was set free. So a load of adults tracked him down. They found him in the Boiler Factory where he use to work... and murder the kids. The adults burnt him alive, and that was the last of freddy... or was it?

 

20 years later, some teenagers where experiancing some strange dreams. They where dreaming about a man, who had a burnt face, a brown hat, a dirty red and green sweater, and a knived hand. After a few deaths, A group of 4 teenagers learnt that what is happening in your dream, is happening to you in real life. The first teenager was having sex with her boyfriend, she fell asleep. She was cut to bits. Her boyfriend was on the run and was caught and thrown into jail because of the "murder". He was then strangled to death. So the story moves on, the "hero", nanci, was at a funeral. She explained to her parents about the man in her dreams. Her parents insisted that she went to a sleeping disorder clinic. While asleep, she managed to pull freddy's hat out of her dream. After arguments with her parents and nanci not going to sleep, her mum took her down to the celler and she explained all. She explained that she was part of the parents who helped kill freddy.

 

So nanci now knew, that freddy isn't getting the kids for fun, he is getting them for revenge on the parents that helped kill him. Nanci warned her boyfriend not to go to sleep, but of course, he did, and died. Nanci then pulled freddy out of her dream and after a chase, he was burnt again.

But the film ended with a false ending, and freddy was still up and running, about to kill the rest of the elmstreet children.

shouldn't this be in FILMS?

I prefer the friday the 13th series but nightmare on elmstreet is good to.
