Posted October 10, 200618 yr You can listen to the new song http://multimedia.terra.es/viewer/portada....8&mapnivel1=OCI I like this song and it is a million times better than Westlife  However must Gary always want all the glory. I thought they were supossed to all be very involved this time. Not in a million years would you think that was a song by a band :( It's all to James Blunt, James Morrison for me and playing it safe by just doing what's selling at the moment -_-
October 10, 200618 yr It reminds me of a Blue song, and as Gary wrote for them thats hardly surprising. I really like it. I think it will be a big hit - and as it's out at the same time as Wetlife's new one it should keep them off Number 1.
October 10, 200618 yr Author It reminds me of a Blue song, and as Gary wrote for them thats hardly surprising. I really like it. Yep and I definatly look forward to them beating Pestlife Lets just hope Lovelight can knock it off the following week
October 10, 200618 yr how can i say this is a kind way....i hope this song crashes and burns, but i mean it in the nicest possible way boy bands are horrid things IMO :puke2: Edited October 10, 200618 yr by Osiris
October 10, 200618 yr I heard it this morning. A pleasant enough ditty but how can I put this? A bit bland? <_<
October 10, 200618 yr Lets just hope Lovelight can knock it off the following week  :o Does that mean TT's new single is out one week before Lovelight? I don't like this at all. <_< The b****y papers will be declaring WW III "Can Robbie knock TT off the top spot", I can see it already :puke2: Haven't heard Patience yet, but why do I think TT will sound just like they did 10 years ago... Well, good on them probably. Because sadly there are many RW fans out there who would rather have him doing Angels all over again than the Rudebox album -_-
October 10, 200618 yr Author Yes they are releasing on the 6th It will be #1 no doubt but I have a really good feeling Lovelight will knock it off :D And I would love NOTHING more then for that to happen just to shut the critics up. Patience sounds nothing like TT 10 years ago Monsoon. It sounds very like most of the stuff which is selling at the moment like James Blunt, in other words they are playing it safe imo :smoke:
October 10, 200618 yr I was never really much of a Take That fan, even when Robbie was in the band :o The song's ok, nothing special, I think it will do well because of who they are. I really do hope lovelight knocks them off the number one spot if they get to it. ^_^
October 10, 200618 yr Author I am not a fan of boy bands but TT were different. They made some truely fantastic pop songs back in their day but this just is like James' Blunt's High. Not what people have been waiting over 10 years for at all -_-
October 10, 200618 yr Well, I guess it wouldn't really matter what kind of song they release. After being away for 10 years they will go to no. 1 for sure, I'm not expecting anything else. And TT fans ALWAYS were good single buyers which can't be said for RW fans these days, unfortunately  Just in case anyone wonders: I was a TT fan once, being 13-16 years old. When Rob left I realised I was mostly in there because of him and after his departure I lost interest and I'm not really bothered about TT now. I can't really say I'm happy about the reunion. It's not the boys´ fault, but as usual it's the damn press that is getting at me. Personally I think the negative press for Rob has increased with the TT comeback. And now that they are releasing new material, the papers are going to have a field day comparing sales figures. There's already an article on reuters with the headline "Robie and TT: Face off" - only because their live DVD and the Rudebox album are released on the same day... Honestly, I'm dreading all of this. :puke2:
October 10, 200618 yr Author Just like we expected, only this is about a DVD not Patience <_< Robbie Williams and Take That face off 11 October 2006 LONDON: Robbie Williams and his former bandmates from Take That go head to head later this month with the release of an album and a DVD on the same day. Williams, who has forged a successful solo career since leaving boyband Take That and who frequently makes digs at his former bandmates during gigs, is releasing his new album Rudebox on October 23. The album follows last year's Intensive Care, which, according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry trade group, was the top selling album in Europe last year and sold more than five million copies in total. Take That are releasing a DVD on the same day called The Ultimate Tour - Live in Manchester, which features a documentary about the build up to the band's reunion - after splitting in 1996 -- and successful return to the stage. Take That are also promoting a new album which appears on November 27 called Beautiful World. Williams has asked young film-makers to make seven short films to compliment his new album and is holding a competition for the eighth film to accompany the track The 80s. Williams will be on the panel of judges and the winner will receive 7,500 pounds in prize money as well as possibly see the film included on a special DVD. "This is the record I've always wanted to make," Williams said in a statement. It's reignited how I think about what I can do with music myself." Speaking about the film competition, he added: "Just like in music, today you can create a masterpiece out of an i-book and some digital footage, as much as you can in a fancy studio." Williams is signed to EMI and Take That to Universal Music Group's Polydor label.
October 10, 200618 yr I disagree Scotty. To me this song sounds exactly like a Gary Barlow composition circa 1994. Absolutely classic Take That. It's ok. I've heard it a few times now. Not spectacular but ok. :)
October 10, 200618 yr I am disappointed by this. When they said they were writing this album all together, I really expected the first single to sound like a band. Insted it is a Gray Bralow song with hardly a sign of the others. It is OK as a song, but I listened to it last night, and now I can't actually remember how it goes ^_^ I was never a Take That fan - but went to a concert earlier this year out of curiosity. It ws fantastic, so I went to their MK concert too. I fully expected to want to buy the album, but after hearing this am not at all sure about it. I will be buying the DVD though :) But that stupid article headline has me annoyed :( Why can't the press celebrate the success of them all - and highlight the great steps that have been made to heal past rifts instad of trying to reignite them :(
October 10, 200618 yr i think pateince is a great song and a song that will really grow on people,i tink it could also give take that there 9th number 1, i agree i wish the press would leave well alone, the take that members have made up so a certain extent, gary and robbie will never be best friends but they are on speaking terms as well as can be expected, both a very talented people in very different ways an dthe press shoul dget over the robbie.gary thing, its all in the past now
October 10, 200618 yr OK - release date we had for TakeThat is wrong - now its the week after Lovelight <_< Confirmed by Polydor in the official Press Release: Take That’s stunning new single ‘Patience’ will be released on November 20th by Polydor Records. The single will be accompanied by a video shot on location in Iceland by David Mould (Magic Numbers, Radiohead and Doves). It will be premiered on GMTV on October 20th. Take That’s fourth studio album ‘Beautiful World’, which features writing contributions from each member of the band, will come out the following week on November 27th. thanks to ManicK @ haven Edited October 10, 200618 yr by Dory
October 11, 200618 yr Yes Monsoon. I agree. I can imagine the headline as we speak.... 'Take That, Robbie' . Ex-Bandmates push Rob from No 1. ( Assuming he reaches No 1- I'm being a bit optimistic there :P )
October 11, 200618 yr Author I disagree, If he makes #1 then as least he will have got to #1. Being knocked off #1 is FAR worse then being kept off #1 by TT. :smoke:
