Maureen Lipman is rejoining Corrie after appearing in a brief stunt in 2002 as Lillian Spencer. She will be playing Tyrone's grandmother.

It is likely that Steve and Abi will end up together so i would believe a full on affair is coming soon.

It looks evident that Steve and Tracey wont be staying together.

I really hope that when Nick comes back that we don't have another storyline with him/Leanne or him/Carla getting back together.

Blanche Hunt on talking about Liz Mcdonald

Skirts no bigger than a belt, too much eyeliner. And roots as dark as her soul

And when she was talking about Roy and Hayley Cropper

He's a loony. And she'a man.

Some great quotes from a very much missed character.

Blanche had some of the most superb one liners, a truly missed character on the Street.

Is it just me or does the show feel different in the last few weeks? Monday with Sally as the clown was painful :’)
I am tired of Carla, she is the Mick of EastEnders, over used and added to as many scenes and storylines possible.

i think that’s A STRETCH; her storylines have been v family-centric since her return

and i think she’s fabulously acted and rather complex; mick is none of those things and he’s nothing more than a highly paid, overused and lightweight parody of a character.

Carla’s return has been nothing short of disastrous imo :( there’s a reason why Alison King left in the first place and that’s because the character was completely burned out. Stuart Blackburn and Kate Oates seem to see Carla as an antihero who we’re supposed to love/a good person at heart when Carla was always written as a nasty cow who would do anything to get what she wanted. The Peter/Carla relationship was toxic from the start following from her rape, just who is asking for them to be together?

I get why some dislike Alya but having a confident young woman running her first business and actually having some AMBITIONS (in a street of Sineads) was really refreshing but of course precious Carla had to get her factory back. god the connors are vile and I don’t get why a) we’re supposed to like them and b) they’re shoved down our throats :/

What did we make of Sean's homelessness storyline?

Ridiculous. The whole notion of him having too much pride and wanting to sleep rough and beg over asking bloody Eileen if he can stay with her for a bit is absurd. The fact he can't act isn't helping either!

I could appreciate what they were going for with Sean's storyline but I just don't like the character / his acting so it wasn't executed so well in the end. Plus they all commented on how rough he looked etc but there wasn't even the slightest hint of stubble on his face? :')
the sean storyline was shocking; you didn’t feel any empathy for him and ppl don’t become homeless due to ‘too much pride’. homelessness is an important issue to talk about but it’s jot right when it’s done in such a misjudged, off-kilter fashion it’s tantamount to miseducation

i’m really enjoying recent episodes; seeing the older cast members in the mix is great
