This is the Doctor Who spin-off yes? B)

wee wee monsieur Andre :D

I saw an ad for this. It looked really sci fi and geeky.

I maybe watch but I dont think I'll enjoy it from the advert.

Tho Captain Jack - yay. Tittikaka from Ab Fab - yay.

It'll probably end up actually being better than Dr Who, if the last series was anything to go by.....

I wouldn't know, couldn't bear to watch it.

The film was on this morning, I think Paul Mcgann (sp?) would have made a good doctor if he got to do episodes.

He actually played The Doctor in quite a few Dr Who audio books...

I thought he was okay actually, he was just let down by the over-all poorness of the film he was in....

I know.

It weren't that bad, watchable. He had a good look for the doctor, unlike Eccleston.

Ach, it was just so American, that was probably my main gripe with it...

Well, it was set in America. Could have been worse, it made a change.

Spielberg's production company was involved with it though, and I rather got the feeling that he had way too much influence on the thing itself, it did feel very Spielberg-ey, NOT a good thing for what is essentially a very quintessentially British thing....

here here, thats just what i was saying, it was far to american. i love sylvester mccoys part in portraying the 7th doctor, he was very unpopuler with most doctor who casual fans. unlike me, a self proclaimed genius on doctor who (In which case i know nearly all there is to know)

if only russel t davies had gone through and kept the 8/9 regenration sequence, but he claimed it was too risqy and would alienate fans..

Well, he's already alienated a lot of Dr Who fans with his ridiculous insistence on keeping the Doctor continually Earthbound.... And 'London'-based for the most part as well....

I don't mind it being on earth, most of Pertwee's were. It's just the constant CGI for everything.

the only pertwees that were on another planet/in space were:

The Three Doctors, Carnival Of Monsters, Frontier In Space, Planet Of The Daleks, Death Of The Daleks, Monster Of Peladon, Planet Of The Spiders.

Well, true, but the script actually established a reason for that though... So, I have no issue with that. There are no such script or plot reasons for the continual Earth-bound nature of this current Dr Who.... It's just Davis being an arse....
