Surprised there hasn't been a thread for this yet... This is the most surprising hit of the year for me already - been top 10 on iTunes, charted in the Top 25, climbing on Spotify and only getting bigger. Never expected something so melodic from French Montana although in truth the Swae Lee parts dominate this song.

Apparently, as so many US rap hits recently, there is a viral element to this success in the form of a dance routine. However, I think the song is strong enough to stand up on its own especially after how huge 'Black Beatles' was.

I agree with ML Hammer that I wasn't expecting this to be so melodic for a track from French Montana. I'm really glad it is though, the "you are unforgettable" refrain has been stuck in my head all week. I like how it seems to have just appeared in the charts overnight too, would love it to make the top 10 officially if it can keep growing on iTunes/Spotify!

Yeah reallllly liking this, a lot more than the other massive Urban hit I'm The One right now.

I LOVE the incorporation of those steel drums (I think they are?) & Swae Lee's parts are great.

I saw Rae Sremmurd's set at Wireless on Sat (probably one of the highlights tbh!) and this was performed, thanks to Swae Lee's major contriubtion to the song.

It's really clicked with me since, sounded really good live. I'm not surprised it's so huge, it's quite an earworm.

what's really surprising is this isn't top 10 in the US, how aren't they enjoying this as much as we in the UK are??

I guess the Lil Uzi Vert song is their equivalent right now.

scrap that, it's climbed to #10 in the US this week. :cheer:

If not for Despacito I could definitely see it climbing to #1 in the coming weeks, should definitely get to #2 though because it's a surefire Spotify hit & rising in iTunes.

I did think the same until I looked into its sales figures - it has been slowly dropping and this week could be its third drop. HOWEVER those drops have to have been equal to or more than the market equivalent or something so I can't confirm that this will happen.

I was actually referring to the US charts (although for some reason I didn't say so)

idk why but I love this more now than I did at the time. I just thought it was a nice little tune last year but now I'd have it down as one of my fave songs of 2017!!

It just refuses to get old and somehow gets even better with time?!!
