October 13, 200618 yr What the hell, when did BJ become riddled with Gareth fans, erm ok :/  When did Matty become so into men, I see you everywhere commenting on them these days :o Why is this guy doing music again, he is rubbish :o So many questions :kink:
October 13, 200618 yr he can sing,he might not be your cup of tea which is fine and understandable jake but he can sing
October 14, 200618 yr I think he is an average singer at best, his version of Unchained Melody was flat as a pancake imo -_- I'm happy for his fans though ^_^
October 14, 200618 yr he can sing,he might not be your cup of tea which is fine and understandable jake but he can sing Excuse me, I was expressing an opinion. I've only ever seen something average, his voice isn't amaze nor music nor looks. I judge as I see.
October 14, 200618 yr i know you were expressing an opinion jake i wasnt having a go thats why i said understandable in my message
October 14, 200618 yr Well as I said earlier - as long as he keeps away from the awful cover versions then I'm sure he'll do fine and probably earn respect. The reason Westlife & Shayne Ward are so dispised is because they just unleash cover after cover - endless morbid crappy cover versions of ballads
October 14, 200618 yr i know you were expressing an opinion jake i wasnt having a go thats why i said understandable in my message If you read over your messae you'll see it comes across just a tad patronsing whether intentional or not...

October 14, 200618 yr Well I think he's 'a hawt  ' too - and will be hotter now that he's that bit older. Seemingly the rumour about a documentary has been confirmed. It'll be shown before Christmas - to be followed by the album release presumably next year. Should be interesting and I am very intrigued and excited to find out what type of music he is now doing and how he sounds. Yipee, Gareth's back :D
October 14, 200618 yr Before Christmas. That's only just over two months away :yahoo: :yahoo: Despite how `hawt' he is I'm looking forward to the music most. Very much a secondary appreciation though, when you can look at someone so gorgeous at the same time :yahoo:
October 14, 200618 yr I'm really looking forward to Gareth's 1 hour Prime Time ITV1 Documentary , which is reported in the press today. Great to see what Gareth's been doing the last couple of years , and it says it's going to showcase some of his new music , should be very interesting :cheer:
October 14, 200618 yr and will also showcase some of Gareth's new music as he prepares to re-launch back into the spotlight to do what he loves most." That bit is in some of the stories in the papers, and I really cant wait to see the kind of songs he has written. So happy today. :cheer:
October 14, 200618 yr oh no.... i cant fathom the appeal of this third rate karaoke singer... the guys got no voice, no personality and no talent. I agree. The only reason I can see him being popular is him bringing out a sort of mothering instinct with some people. "Awww, bless him he's got a stutter!" combined with him having the same sort of fanbase as Westlife or Daniel O'Donnel. His voice is weak and none of his songs to date have been much good. Maybe his newer stuff will be a little less bland, but I can't see this comeback being successful. Thankfully.
October 14, 200618 yr Gareth Gates plots comeback with documentary DigitalSpy: Saturday, October 14 2006, 10:43 BST - by Ben Rawson-Jones Gareth Gates is planning to relaunch his music career with the help of an ITV documentary. Camera crews have been following the chart-topping Pop Idol star in recent months as he works on new material and seeks a record deal. An spokesperson for ITV1 said the hour-long programme will "showcase some of Gareth's new music as he prepares to re-launch back into the spotlight to do what he loves most". 22-year-old Gates was released from his contract with Sony BMG after his second album Go Your Own Way failed to reach the Top 10. This followed a tabloid expose of his affair with glamour model Jordan, despite Gates' initial denials. With his innocent image shattered, his predominantly young female fanbase deserted him. The ITV1 spokesman added: "This prime-time footage will show the impacts and consequences that fame thrusts upon artists hoping to survive successfully within the pressures of the music industry."
October 15, 200618 yr This was in the local Bradford Paper :D Bradford singing sensation Gareth Gates is to hit the limelight again in a documentary to be screened this autumn. The pop idol star is baring his soul to the cameras five years after he shot to fame at the tender age of 17. Gareth 22, is taking part in a documentary about his life and music that he hopes will help re-launch his career. It has been created by award-winning Century Films and will be broadcast later this year. The programme is being billed as "an intimate portrayal" of Gareth, told in his own words. The makers say it will chart his rollercoaster career from chart topper to celebrity under pressure in the competitive music industry. Gareth said "To sell over a million singles at just 17 is so many people's dream and it happened to me, With all the advice and support in the world nothing prepares you for the pressures and personal development that comes with that. The past 5 years have been a real rollercoaster and i hope this show gives people the chance to see the real me." Gareth has sold more than 3 million singles in the UK, including the second best selling single of 2002, Unchained Melody. The documentary showcases some of his new music as he prepares to re-launch his pop career. Gareth was brought up in Bradford and is a keen Bradford Bulls supporter. He was head chorister at Bradford Cathedral by the age of 11 and achieved Grade 8 in piano, classical guitar and singing. He gained a place at the Royal Northern Collage of Music before entering Pop Idol. Gareth was runner-up on the first series and signed to record label BMG. His first single, a cover version of Unchained Melody, knocked Will Young's Evergreen off the top of the chart. It was voted 2002's Record of the Year by ITV viewers. Gareth was at the height of his popularity in 2002, with Smash Hits magazine declaring November 7th International Gareth Day. He has since had a part in the film Seeing Double and increased his charity work, promoting AIDS awareness through a charity concert to 50,000 people in Indonesia. While working on his comeback album in April this year, Gareth parted company with his record label. (Reporter Jenny Loweth)
October 15, 200618 yr Just googled Century Films, mentioned in the last article as the makers of the documentary. Blimey, they've made some great stuff http://www.centuryfilmsltd.com/documentary.htm
October 15, 200618 yr Yeah, Century have made Docs for Robbie and David Beckham. Can't get much more high profile than that. They must think a fair bit of Gaz :cheer: :cheer: That's a very good write up in Gareth's local paper isn't it. At least they tell it straight, the way it is without leaving out all the best bits (a la VN) Edited October 15, 200618 yr by val4jadan
